This, at least for the foreseeable future. I think he will continue to improve at first base, also. He seems to have the requisite soft hands needed and seems to be aware of positioning.

Schanuel played well today, and he was definitely a factor in a big victory. He seems to be finding some footing now. I think he is the type of rookie that understands he has a development progress he has to go through, and he is probably using the lumps and growing pains as lessons and chalking it up to experience. I think he well use this to his advantage and use it in his continued growth as a major league player. He's learning the pitchers and some of their tendencies, and he will use his struggles to make himself a better player. Much of the same can be said for Neto as well. He came up with some big contributions today as well.

Shouts to Adam Cimber who has been a godsend out of the bullpen.

Nice bounce back win. Nice game by Schanuel and I hope this is start of something big for him. Just remember this year only 50 AB so far. I hope I'm totally wrong in thinking he needs time in minors.

Yeah, I don't understand this organization's infatuation with Estevez at all. His peripherals have been rather poor or so-so even during his all-star run. It was just a matter of time before they all began to manifest rotten fruit. Cisneros and Garcia are minor-league fillers. Their best use is to fill the rosters on the farm, but they simply are not talented enough to be major-league relief pitchers. They are what they are, and simply are not good enough to be in a big-league bullpen, especially in high-leverage situations. If Estevez hasn't got his ducks in a row by now, he never will.

Good to see Estevez was back to his old self -- blowing multi-run leads and then afterwards saying it either wasn't his fault, the guy got lucky, or he has absolutely zero concern because he's the man and he will be back out there again soon.
I never understood spending big money on RP from non-competitive teams. Estevez, Cisneros, and Garcia were not in many high leverage situations and were on fairly bad teams. Is it really any surprise they have been wildly inconsistent? Since the All Star Break last year Estevez has been really bad. It wasn't fatigue, it was teams figuring out that he has very poor control and throws 80% fastballs.
Starting to really think between the draft picks, rushing guys all over the playce bullpen signings, not pursuing a single starter/hitter, and the trades that Perry is not as good of GM as we hoped he would be.

It most assuredly will affect his PT. Wash is about as old school as they come. He expects grown men and professionals to be aware and know their fundamentals. He was already po'd by his last second-base blunder.

That won't likely happen. The umpires union is fairly powerful and protective of its members.

That has been the knock on Trout for most of his career. Great player otherwise, but he had never been known to be particularly clutch in these situations. That will keep him from being mentioned with the all-time greats. That is certainly an area where Torri Hunter far out performed Trout.

I'm not buying into that individual players are soft BC of where they are from,
But, I have always wondered about the locale of this team. The OC, while a great place to live is soft...absolutely zero grit factor.
It's ridiculous that the team is called the LA Angels and that stadium of the 57 is ridiculous, one of the worst in MLB.
The OC has to be one of the most laxed places to play in all of pro sports.
    There is zero character!
    I will change the subject.
Canning has been notoriously bad to start the season. Why not let him begin his season in AAA until the weather and his arm warms up?
Where are the analytics? This team is ran like a beer league softball team.
If Canning sucks in April than don't run him out there until May.

Detmers is pitching like a stud so far. It is early, but I am seeing that he is realizing and utilizing the considerable talent he has and the tools he has in his arsenal. He's always had good stuff. No-hitting any MLB team is extremely difficult and few have that ability. I can't wait to see his next outing.

He was handed a two-run lead right out of the gate before he threw his first pitch. He gets no pass from me. Yes, the umpire was inconsistent, but good pitchers learn to adapt to that. The problem is he's not a good pitcher.. I like Wash, but I am now interested in knowing if he plans on following through with his admonition that players not pulling their weight won't be playing and won't be up here. There are several not pulling their weight right now. Maybe that bus route between farm stops can start putting rubber to the road and start making some deliveries to the various stops along the route.

Okay, I can agree somewhat with that, but even with a four or five, you want someone that will at least keep you in the game more times than not. He hasn't in quite some time.

Sure glad to see Sano in here. Adell gets one at bat, so that is a barometer to go by. Sano has how many he's so far? Way for him to be clutch. Watched strike three sail by him.😬

Great bounce back game from yesterday’s debacle.
Top of the line up kicked ass, and Tyler Anderson has pitched extremely well the first 2 games.
Light that baby up.  Get rid of that awful taste from yesterday
