This organization is so, so weird.  I feel like it's a monkey continually throwing their poop on the wall to see what sticks.

I know, shocking, huh?  Who could have guessed that a league-average hitter with a bad back before he got traded might not be the answer?

I wasn't going to watch - Angels baseball hasn't been a source of much good feeling lately - haven't watched many the last few weeks.
But I got a notification of the Ohtani homerun, and against my better judgment, turned the tv on.  Good game to watch
Sure wish we could bottle that version of Detmers - not overwhelming, but just commanded the zone - hope he can find consistency.   (and a voice in my head chimes in "Too.  Late.") 😕.

Question for the Apologists.
What has he "Arte, done for you"? Why support it after 20 years? Are you afraid to press accountability? IF you truly don't know or understand what or why or how to fix it. Why crap on the people that understand how to do it?
You sound and act like the Corporate guys that failed and ruined businesses during the early dot.com boom! 

No way Nevin stays.  Someone will be the sacrificial lamb -- and Nevin is as deserving as anyone (although plenty to go around -- Arte, Perry, scouting, medical/training staff, etc.)

True -- but then why would Ohtani resign for 2024+ when all these guys Perry traded for are FA and gone.  So nothing he got will be here after this year.  Further, Perry now has less bullets to use for future acquisitions in 2024+.  Which are desperately is needed because there are not impact players available and ready from the minors.  Nor would there be much, if any, salary available after signing Ohtani to a record contract.  
If i'm Ohtani, maybe i'm impressed that Perry/Arte tried.  But that is done and over once 2023 ends because none of those acquisitions will benefit 2024+.....and the organization is now weaker (less assets to trade) going forward.  If anything, i'm less inclined now to stay with LAA if i am Ohtani and i care about winning with the team i sign with this FA period.  

Finally a beer that charcterizes the Angel offense and their inability to score with RISP...  The only way this could be better is if they named it Halo Zero...

This is all talk. He knows he's out as Manager and probably will not get another chance to manage for a long time, if ever, and his own frustrations with his impending fate is boiling over.  Fake urgency. Where was this when the Angels were up 8-3 on the Royals to only lose when the Royals scored 7 runs in the last three innings while he went along/decided on bullpen management being more important than preventing a disastrous precedent of losing large leads? The Angels have coughed up more 3+ run leads and allowed more 10+ run losses to an opposing team than I can ever remember in any previous season.  Where was the blowup during multiple fundamental errors over the course of the season? Where was the response to being bullied in Toronto? He's the one that's full of horseshit, and the players know it.   

Lol at some folks on here thinking Murphy could contribute to the major league team this year.
