  1. I was waiting to see "Experience with Microsoft Office" in there somewhere.
  2. I can't tell if Lester was cheating, but what I can say for sure is that the Cardinals might be the most blatant sign stealers in the history of MLB. A .330 TEAM batting average with runners in scoring position is proof enough.
  3. True, but I can still see this team winning 88 games, making the playoffs, and once you're in anything can happen. No way they are favorites, or the best, but you don't always have to be.
  4. Gotta love seeing Buck squirm in that clip. It was the epitome of someone 'feeding the troll.'
  5. Seriously. I can't imagine any other team offering him that much money. I'm wondering if he is concerned with having to live up to the expectations that came with it...
  6. Puig could improve as a player, but there is no reason to believe the results are going to improve. IMO his results are way over his skill level and mostly due to being new to the league. Pitchers will catch up with him, and he'll probably get better at the same time, but I don't see him posting batting averages near .320 all that often. I'd probably project him near .285 next year. Edit: Just checked the Steamer projections for next season on fangraphs and they have him projected to hit .285 next year.
  7. It's easy to be classy with a 9 run lead...
  8. Probably impossible to tell for sure but I said at the time, Mattingly's decision to run Kershaw out on 3 days rest in the NLDS could come back to bite them down the road. Tonight ended up being one of the worst starts of his career just two outings later...
  9. Minor league Free Agent? We must've really not wanted this guy, first outrighting him to AAA and risking another team picking him up, then knowing that it would give him the option of opting for free agency when no one did.
  10. I'm really not sure how we are supposed to improve this team this off season, and I hope Arte understands this. If we can't spend money, have no prospects to trade and are looking to improve the major league roster there are very few options right now.
  11. Not sure if this means a lot but Peter's career Isolated Power is just shy of Andrea Eithier's mark from this season, and higher than what Austin Jackson and Jacoby Ellsbury put up this year. If you want to avoid center field it's about the same as Many Machado, Eric Hosmer and Howie Kendrick. Ian kinsler, Jean Segura, Victor Martinez, Ben Zobrist, and Billy Butler are also included on the list of players who failed to match Bourjos' career ISO in 2013.
  12. Well obviously we'd have to see what we end up getting but I don't think we can expect that much, and certainly not as much as Bourjos could provide himself if he can stay in the lineup every day.
  13. I think this thread makes it pretty clear where the market would price Bourjos. If I'm another team in need of a center fielder I'm calling the Angels about Borjous, but if stormngt is the Angels GM we aren't going to make a deal, and if the rest of you were the GM the Angels wouldn't get any better.
  14. The hip issue never kept him out of the lineup.
  15. Offer him $3 million and stick him in the bullpen. Or give him $3 mil, let him compete for the 5th spot with Richards, and give him $2 mill for every ten starts he has during the season.
  16. I don't want DiPoto trading for anymore injured pitchers. If the O's are willing to give him up he's probably washed up,
  17. A pass or fail on a polygraph does not have to equate to truth/lie. If Albert is telling the truth then there is no upside to taking such a test. If he is telling the truth then no one can ever prove he took steroids, and passing a lie detector test will not ever convince those certain he has. The introduction of the polygraph test as a means of settling the lawsuit can only serve to undermine the public's perception of Pujols, which is exactly what Clark's attorney seems set on.
