    It is a HORRIBLE decision. Bourjos is hot right now, Aybar is fast and in scoring position. You are taking three chances for one hit, with Bourjos, Trout and Hamilton. The alternative was two chances to get a hit (or hope for a fly ball instead of a DP) from Hamilton vs a lefty (.150 BA) and Pujols.

    I said as much in the game day thread. You really have to question Scioscia's intelligence after moves like that. At least you can understand not pinch hitting for Josh, because Scioscia is very big on feelings and that sort of thing, but jeez. Two absolutely terrible moves by Mike right there.

    Scioscia had two completely brutal managerial decisions in that inning. I say that as someone who has never called for him to be fired (at least not in a looong time).

    I was wondering if he was closing in on the all time worst WPA for a game after that third DP. I looked it up and he wasn't even close, but I bet he got an awful lot closer after that last pathetic display.

    Absolutely. Attempting to bunt with Bourjos gave away an out for absolutely nothing. The upside was an even worse scenario than him striking out. Then he lets Hamilton hit vs a lefty...
