They are better and younger but they won’t make the playoffs either. They don’t play the angels every day. But I bet they wish they could . Mariners are pretenders. Angels were bullshit pretenders. Lou had done one of the funniest things to me ever here.  I had posted something, he edited and changed some wording, then I ran around trying to figure out why I said that.  
I didn't want to say anything but as good a time as any, I have just recently joined the C club. I recently had a tumor removed and by all intent purposes it was a cut it out and you should be ok but the pathology came back with 2 growing in one.  A yay and a nay.  The nay is very aggressive.  Lot of gears shifting in my head right now.

This is heartbreaking. Lou’s been the best Angels forum presence since we started out on the ESPN boards. The intensity of how much I hate cancer is met by that of how much I appreciate Lou and his contributions.

At least your team tried to get better at the deadline (well more than tried, they did) ...

I get chills every time I watch this. It meant so much as a fan, especially after everything that came before it. The feeling I had after this and the subsequent game is what makes me happy for any of my friends/acquaintances that root for a long suffering team and see them win it all. This applies even to teams I hate. Fuck the Mariners, but once they actually win it all I’ll be super happy for their asshole fans like @Ender and @cez. It will be well deserved and will bring them joy.

I'll enjoy it as long as it lasts, but even now it's still a "maybe we can contend for the 3rd wildcard lawdy frickin da" situation. 
Hardly makes up for 20+ years of organizational incompetence at every level.  Oh, but now we have prospects....goodie, because ownership and minor league staff have really shown they know how to cultivate those!  Dipoto and Servais are still unmitigated fools.
