I was all for getting a good draft pick but now I'm sort of switching to being happy we are playing well despite everything. It does wonders for confidence to play well going into the off-season and next year. Also I'd say it would make us a more desirable team to sign with than if we lost 100 games. Hopefully this late season success translates into good things for the off-season and next season.

Anytime we have people voting there will be controversy. MVP has always been a weird award that can be interpreted 1,001 way. I know we have the best player in the game, and while it would be nice to give him recognition, it doesn't take away from anything he is doing.

I say keep him. He's getting better the past couple years and we are a bit short on talent at the moment. Not sure he will ever be Trumbo 2016 good but I think he could have a breakout year next year.

Pujols could have a comeback year, win the triple crown, win the MVP, and Angels win the World Series by sweeping the Dodgers and people here would still say he sucks and is overpaid.

(779 games is roughly 5 years -  Before Trout = 457-322; after Trout 405-374.  I guess he doesn't help much either?  What a couple of rejects!)
