  1. yep. same. last three weeks or so. Iphone unuseable with this site.
  2. It's been mentioned already so I'll just second this: the innings limits for several of the current starters will be a factor.
  3. I read somewhere (Fletcher?) that moving Chavez was a cost savings move that would save the Angels $1.7 million. I'm guessing someone needs to refuel.
  4. Hell, there's no longer anyone on which to sell high. Might as well start extending some of these guys and hope (and pray) our starting five come back healthy next year. At least there are several players like Norris (blown save and all) , Maybin, and perhaps even the Statue at Third Base, who might re-sign for cheap and could actually be useful next year. Sigh...this team...
  5. For those of you who don't know Spanish, this means "slider, low and away."
  6. So the Angels are about five games out of the second wild card? Seems close, but there are so many teams in front of them. With no offense, mediocre pitching and a good bullpen. I'd say trade off anything of value and get what they can for those players. If the team loses, it just may put the Angels in a better draft position next year. (They're currently in the 13th position.)
  7. This has to be bullshit. How can people make up this crap??? In order to be successful at this, Leviev and Prevezon would have to find a major player in...real...estate. Oh.
  8. The DL. (I can't believe this hasn't been used yet! It was on a tee!)
  9. I really don't see the Angels signing "name" guys on the wrong side of 30. I think Arte has been burned too many times for that. If anything, it'll be guys who can be productive stop-gap players like Jay Bruce (or even Cam Maybin), for example, who won't cost a lot in terms of years or dollars while buying time for all of these outfielders to develop.
  10. Agree. No one seems to be able to stay healthy. Side note: Love the Coxian avatar!
  11. Shoulda traded him when he was going good. Now...now value at all. Ruptured patella tendon? We'll know soon enough.
  12. Just take her to JoAnns and turn her loose! Then pay the damn bill.
  13. I'd guess four to five starts, building pitches 15 or 20 more each time out. Like a typical spring training schedule.
  14. Yep. Still thinking the Angels sell. If Trout and even one of the starters were healthy and productive, I'd be more curious. But hey, what do I know? If the Angels decide to go for it, it's just more entertainment for me!
  15. Appreciate the article! Small splashes suck. Really, most of these are "treading water" types that don't move the needle much. They're almost all on the wrong side of 30, it seems and just don't see the wisdom in giving up young guys for short-term gain. I think the best options were players like Cozart who can fill a definite need.
  16. Yeah. Promotion to attract suitors. If he can handle a decent month at AA, he starts to look a lot more valuable.
  17. I don't believe the Angels waste what few bullets they have on Dee (Fricken) Gordon. It's more important to focus on guys that will still be productive members of this team in three years. This team is cooked for the year. Trade off what talent there is for some young guys that will be controllable assets for six years at low salary.
  18. Did the Angels ever have a true shot at "Junior"? Seems the Angels were in the penalty box during the time he was available. Or is that what you're suggesting?
  19. Yeah, Parker doesn't make sense. Maybe for the same reasons? To keep him "in a groove" and pitching through the Break?
