  1. If possible, purchase your tickets ahead of time for the 9/11 Memorial Museum. They sell online 6 months in advance, and you pick your time to enter. Walk up tickets should be available, as you are not going at a busy time, but the walk-up line takes a while as it will be a diverse crowd, and many have difficulty. Once inside, everything moves nicely. If you want to try something different than the Empire State Building, try going to the Top of the Rock. The view from there is still amazing, and your pics will have both the Empire State Building, and the Freedom Tower in it. My wife is afraid of heights too, but had no problem there. Lots to do in the area as well. Restaurant recommendation: San Pietro on 54th Street between 5th and Madison. Easy walk from Rockefeller Center. The best service I have ever had, and the food is fantastic. https://www.sanpietroristorantenyc.com/ Don't waste your time going to Little Italy. It is Tiny Italy now, as Chinatown is slowly absorbing it. If you are in Chelsea, take a walk on the High Line. Nice walk, and early May should have everything blooming. https://www.thehighline.org/ .
  2. I love the song, but it always reminds me of this movie now.
  3. Giants were getting tired of OBJ’s act, and seeing what Antonio Brown pulled to force his way out of Pittsburgh, they figured it was time to cash in the Beckham chip while it still had top value. OBJ was sure to do the same thing.
  4. Enos Slaughter was a part time player for the Yankees, and was in the lineup the day of Larsen's perfect game. Not sure what number he wore (9 or 17), but I think this picture is from that game.
  5. True, but I believe that around 6:20 you can hear "It not black peoples this time"
  6. Comical https://nypost.com/2019/03/07/massive-brawl-erupts-over-crab-legs-at-chinese-buffet-in-queens/ Full length version with hilarious commentary. Worth watching. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/craziness-brawl-crab-legs-buffet-restaurant-caught-video-123706232.html
  7. Alex is an institution that many of us have grown up with. Hearing his soothing voice every night on our television is a comfort to many. I wish him well. My uncle had Pancreatic cancer about 5 years ago. Had the surgery, radiation, and chemo, and actually outlived his projected life expectancy by over a year. He died from an embolism after falling and hitting his head on his front steps coming home from a chemo treatment. He was holding his own, and should have lived longer. Such a great guy, it still bothers me how it ended.
  8. I think this should cement his position as AW whipping boy for the 2019 season
  9. The hell with the Oilers. They have been the beneficiary of enough rigged lotteries. Time to fix it for the NY Rangers
  10. Easy I already hate the Phillies and anything coming from that wretched city. This would just make things worse.
  11. Eveeyone likes to make the natural comparison of Mike Trout to Mickey Mantle. Mike should think about the major knee injury Mantle sustained getting his cleat caught on a sprinkler in the outfield. Something like that could happen to him over the next two seasons and throw a wrench into his schedule of baseball and financial immortality. Don’t risk it Mike. Your value is peaked. Everyone knows you are the best in baseball and deserve to be the highest paid. Be smart and get a deal done that will set the next century of Trouts up for life with financial security.
  12. It seems that we can all agree that the market price has been set, so wouldn't it be in Trout's best interest to extend now? The market cannot go higher for him. In fact, the market could only go lower, especially if he sustains a serious injury.
  13. Agree with you on this. Now that the dust is settling down, and the big names are all signed, there is no mystery to the dollar amounts and terms that we are dealing with. It is time for Arte and Trout to show their cards. If Arte wants to keep him, he knows what it's gonna cost. If Mike wants to stay, he knows how much to expect. If he truly wants to go to Philly, speak up now, and you can go sooner than later.
  14. I can see something getting done just prior to the start of the season, perhaps the day before. Now that the the "other guys" have signed, and the bar has been set, it should be easy to get the framework in place. I could see him getting an opt-out in four years or so to give the Angels a chance to prove they are committed to winning. If after four years they are still playing games, and signing stop-gaps to one year deals while waiting for the farm to produce, then I don't blame Mike for taking the opt-out. Lets be fair to him.
  15. The biggest D-bag in baseball goes to the biggest D-bag city. It was a match made in heaven. All hail, King of all D-bags!
  16. Mike Francessa on WFAN: "The first thing I thought of, when I heard Harper signed with the Phillies, is that now the Phillies have the guy they can trade to the Angels for Mike Trout! We all know that the Phillies want him, and that he wants to play there, so I see this trade as inevitable" What a clueless ass
  17. I would like to see the Halos grab reliever Adam Warren. He put up solid numbers in the AL East, and was always overshadowed by the bigger names in the Yankees pen.
  18. Sorry, just looking for any excuse to use this picture.
