  1. Sadly, this is the truth. There is no "Cure for cancer" They may find ways to eradicate certain types, and continue to build upon that, but cancer is a large catch-all phrase. Claiming to cure cancer is like saying you have stopped pollution.
  2. Mets: Growing up, and living in Yankees country as a Yankees hater makes it very easy to root for the Mets.
  3. I’m glad Sean Bean is back to playing a villain. He can pull that off much better than being a good guy/Ned Stark.
  4. Started with the first two episodes of Medici: The Magnificent today. Okay so far. Still figuring out who is who as everything has jumped forward two generations from the original.
  5. How about using the picture of Adam's sack from the Vasectomy thread for a "Nutswinger" reaction?
  6. Patriots are a machine Pats-42 Rams-19
  7. Still in the running for Bryce Hunter though.
  8. Don't let the California state income tax be a factor. He'll get wrecked here in New Jersey as well.
  9. Looking at the last names, there seems to be a lot of 2nd generation players, Vlad, Bichette, Tatis, Trammell?, Franco? others?
  10. As much as I hate the Yankees, and pretty much every guy who put on the pinstripes, I never disliked Mariano. He was just so dominant, without being a dick. Always a classy guy on the field, and off. Never showed up a batter after making them look foolish.
  11. James Gandolfini's son Michael will play young Tony Soprano in upcoming Soprano's prequel. Amazing! https://people.com/movies/james-gandolfini-son-michael-cast-tony-soprano/
  12. Cool stat I heard this morning: In human history, more people have walked on the moon than have scored an earned run off of Mariano Rivera in the postseason. According to NASA, 12 peoplehave had the privilege of walking on the moon. According to Baseball Reference, 11people have scored an earned run off of Playoff Mo
  13. LOL, Not sure where to put this one, but feel lucky we have two of these guys on our roster, sort of.
  14. The connection is that you discounted MadBum’s relevancy based on the fact that it has been a few years since his last post season domination. Many people said the same thing about Justin Verlander, and he proved to be just what the Astros needed, a true ace in the post season to match up against the other teams top pitchers. You seem to discount MadBum’s importance, and abilities at the age of 29, and instead give credit to Severino, who has proven to be a post season dud, and Paxton, who has NO postseason experience, and despite being older than MadBum, has 59 less career wins. It’s not that hard to figure out, the Yankees still do not have that go to guy that they can count on as a starter in the post season.
  15. I’m sure a similar case was made against 34 year old Justin Verlander just recently.
  16. So, the Yankees had no ace to count on in the post season. Still a weak spot when they need to match up against Houston or Boston. Tell me which Yankees starting pitcher can you count on in a big game in October? Do you really want to compare Miley to Bumgartner in the post season?
  17. Severino career post season 6.26 ERA MadBum career post season 1.94 ERA Paxton has no playoff experience
  18. Loading up on trade pieces to send to SF for MadBum. It’s gonna happen. That’s the only thing missing on the Yankees, a true ace.
  19. Another Trout off season built around “what-ifs, maybes, and hopefully” instead of being excited about upgrades.
  20. Mike Trout old home movies. "Don't call me Mike Trout, call me Chubsy-Ubsy"
  21. "You don't have to call me Norman. You can call me Chubsy-Ubsy"
