Honestly, I hate the vacating of titles thing anyway. Just seems like a purely symbolic move that solves nothing and doesn't really punish the franchise in any way. The players and coaches and fans will all know they still won it. They were there when it happened. I'd prefer MLB did something with some actual affect going forward. Taking away a 1st and 2nd round pick for the next 2-3 years seems like a good start. Maybe a postseason ban for Hinch for next year?

To be fair, getting an appointment at my local privately run medical facility is nearly impossible.

My opinion at the time from what I remember was that we had somehow given up the best player in the deal (Napoli) plus one more useful player (Rivera) for someone that couldn't be considered reliably productive but would cost significantly more than the two players we traded. We got hosed on both the talent and money side somehow. Of course, nobody anticipated just how horrible Wells would actually be here, but it would've been a bad trade even if he'd had a decent season (say an .800 OPS). 

Wells' sales pitch to potential clients:
"You know what my OPS was in 2011? 660. You know what my salary was? $26 million. Let me show you how to get that kind of deal."

I think this rule change will not only capture the imagination of children that currently prefer watching videos of others playing video games.... but also boost the U.S. economy.  The average baseball fan will save eight minutes and twenty seven seconds every season, becoming better employees, bed partners, parents, and students.

The Crawford downturn was hard to see coming. Dude was 28 as a free agent I think, and he hadn’t shown any signs of a downturn. I would’ve welcomed the signing at the time, and it would’ve been a disaster obviously. Not like Hamilton bad, but still.

That was one of those trades that was clearly terrible even at the time it was made. Like most trades you can talk yourself into on some level, even the bad ones.... Then you realize how bad they were later on. But that trade was obviously a giant steaming turd from the get go.
