I've definitely disagreed with Scioscia in the past, but I have to give credit where it is due. Outside of the Ibanez fiasco early in the season, he's done an amazing job. He's managed around injuries well, he's doing a great job with a taxed bullpen, and he's making great in-game situational calls.

I was there for game 6 in 2002, and that was awesome. But really, in American sports, nothing compares to the student section at a college football or basketball game.

There was a perfect example of the "objectively reasonable" standard here in Omaha last night. The police shot a person holding up a Wendy's with an Airsoft gun. Those things look pretty realistic, so it seems that the cops acted perfectly reasonably.

Hey Guys.  This is David, Matt's Dad.  Thank you for the kind words and the laughs.  I have been on the board for quite some time, but do not write too many comments. Just to clear a couple of things up.  My wife, Karen, Matt's Mom does not have a beard.  HaHa  I do not have a full beard now but did a few years ago. Just a mustache and goatee now.  Thanks for supporting Matt.  He is a great young man who has worked his butt off to get to where he is at.  I am so glad he was finally given the chance to help this team.  We are so blessed that he has performed the way he has.  He will give you every thing he has each time he pitches.  I hope it continues.
