They got annihilated by the Marlins last year and will get the same treatment this year

what the hell was that shit
routine ground ball to the infielder and we don't get an out?
Neto too slow and Drury taking a nap and not covering the base

Adell: 1 start in 4 games
Moniak: 1 start in 4 games
Rengifo: 1 start in 4 gamesDo not approve of this strategy at all when we are replacing these guys with the likes of Rendon, Hicks, and Sano. If this is the strategy, I wish we would have just signed JD Martinez to DH.
They do this every year too. Rengifo could hit 30 HR's in the second half and he'd still lose meaningful playing time to someone like Paul DeJong next year

I would be happy with 30-35 doubles, 10-15 HRs, and a .350 OBP.
I would be happy with 30-35 walks, 10-15 doubles and a .350 SLG at this point

Can't wait to get a top 3 pick and use it on a high-floor/low-ceiling college hitter that'll get promoted to the majors in two months to drum up fake enthusiasm to to distract the casual fans from another losing season.

This organization has literally zero idea how to scout relief pitching.

100 steals would've been 21st in the league last year. Not bad but not particularly noteworthy.

I was concerned Washington was going to fall back on the veterans rather than play Moniak and Adell. This is the bite the bullet year and suffer growing pains, not give veterans one more chance. Now when those two get scattered playing time they won't have any chance to develop any playing rhythm, either defensively or at the plate.
This team is giving off Royals/Rockies vibes. Bad team with lots of boring vets and no-upside journeymen taking up space. Frankly if they win more than 5 of the first 20 that'll be a big success.

As bad as Sandoval was, the bullpen is having a disastrous day. Giving up the long ball, always behind in the count, men constantly on base. Back to the familiar double digit runs allowed and double digit Ks at the plate.
But how could this happen? They signed a bunch of no-name guys with zero track record of success, we should totally expect them to play well.

Oh no we're gonna miss his occasional singles and walks

Any sane person should prioritize family over work. But that still doesn't mean you don't take pride in your work. Rendon comes across as someone who doesn't, since he seems to make it. a point to reiterate how much disdain he has for it.

Arte continues to gain strength as the spite courses through his veins, bringing him ever closer to eternal life. The thought of owning the Angels for another 10,000 years while never making the playoffs ever again brings him great joy, and he lets out a loud cackle in his subterranean lair.
Meanwhile, Perry signed another cheap reliever that no one has ever heard of.

The Angels and Rockies will probably be two of the teams that panic and bite.

I have thought about whether or not he got this deal because they are going to do to him what Atlanta and the Giants are doing with the relievers they signed. We likely won’t know that until the Angels officially announce the deal which is after they clear a spot on the 40 man.
Maybe they're looking to replicate what they did with Lorenzen. Which frankly make more sense than giving out this kind of contract to a dedicated reliever and treating it as the highlight of the offseason (so far).

Our moves this year are so random. They're acting like a tanking team in a salary capped league just trying to hit the cap floor at the end of free agency.
Wouldn't surprise me if Stephenson is starting games at some point this season.
