Jeff M reacted to The Ghost of Bob Starr in Chuck, I found the perfect lid for you to wear now that you're breaking news in Hot Stove season!
I knew the initials looked familiar!

Jeff M reacted to Chuck in For those who support the trade
WAR does not win ball games. Last I checked, the Cardinals were pretty Damn successful with Freese at 3B.

Jeff M reacted to Chuck in The Marlins are looking at Mark Trumbo
Scott, guys that hit 35 HR and drive in 100 RBI don't grow on trees. I think you're too focused on BA/OBP here. Trumbo is still young and has some room for improvement.

Jeff M reacted to HBMike in Overpaid, immature, arrogant, spoiled brats
I can't believe this is even an issue. If the Ddacks didn't want them to swim in the pool, win the game.

Jeff M reacted to Vegas Halo Fan in Conger should be our primary catcher
Besides, the catcher is more heavily involved in the game than any position player on the field. Because of the potential for injury, you don't want to overplay one catcher unless your second catcher is of the Jeff Mathis mold. Iannetta at least isn't an offensive black hole, and it gives Conger time to further develop.

Jeff M reacted to angelinkc in Mike Trout is the real deal
living near kc we had a chance to go to the all star game last season. I bought my son a trout all star jersey and he became his favorite player. we went to the Angels royals series last September. before the infamous meltdown we waited for an hour and a half for an autograph. I was hoping someone would sign but little did I know my son was sure he was getting trouts signature. he passed on bobby Wilson and I was worried he would end up empty handed. that's when mike trout made his move. just minutes before the first pitch trout comes in and pretends to ignore everyone. seconds later he reappears and signals for my son and one other kid to throw him a ball. he grabs both balls disappears and returns the balls before first pitch. my son almost fainted. I actually was worried about him because he was gasping for air. I have heard similar stories of trout doing similar things. if he or his family reads this sight I just want to say thank you and it is great to see a star remember the kids.

Jeff M got a reaction from Torridd in Watching this gives me hope
The current rotation (when healthy): Weaver, Wilson, Vargas, Hanson (Williams), Blanton
doesn't look dissimilar to
this one: Washburn, Ortiz, Appier, Sele, Lackey
At this point we need to make a run with what we have. If it doesn't work, so be it.

Jeff M reacted to Lou E Ville in Bud Norris
Bud Norris doesn't call the wrong number. You answered the wrong phone. There used to be a street named after Bud Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Bud Norris. Bud Norris has a grizzly bear carpet in his room. The bear isn't dead. It's just afraid to move. Bud Norris has already been to Mars. That's why there are no signs of life there. Jesus walked on water, but Bud Norris can swim through land. Bud Norris and Superman once fought each other on a bet. The loser had to start wearing his underwear on the outside of his pants. Bud Norris doesn't flush the toilet. He simply scares the poo out of it. Bud Norris once urinated in a semi truck's gas tank as a joke. That truck is now known as Optimus Prime. Death once had a near Bud Morris experience. Ghosts sit around campfires and tell Bud Norris stories. Bud Norris can slam a revolving door. When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Bud Norris. Bud Norris once kicked a horse in the chin. Its descendants are known today as giraffes. Bud Norris once got bit by a rattle snake....after three days of pain and agony, the rattle snake died.

Jeff M reacted to Stradling in Jerry Dipoto: ''One bad streak away from considering all options.''
When I read stuff like this I think, we need a big change in our fans, if for no other reason than not wanting to be lumped in with you.

Jeff M reacted to Glen in LA Times: Mariano Rivera makes his final series at Angel Stadium special
Love him, but I hope he doesn't make an appearance today.

Jeff M got a reaction from Tyler in When is it reasonable to bunt?
Close game, no outs, runner on 1st and/or second

Jeff M reacted to xboom28x in How about Kole Calhoun?
Pujols to DL, Trumbo to 1B, Hamilton and Calhoun can alternate in RF and DH.

Jeff M reacted to Streetkid in Alden Gonzalez: Scioscia defends decision to return Trout to left
I don't care where he plays, I just want Bourjos to hit leadoff instead of Aybar.

Jeff M reacted to John Taylor in My Favorite part of Dodgers vs Angels
Is being able to listen to Vin Scully call the game, the man is a national treasure and represents everything I love about Baseball.
Gubi and Rojas are awesome, but Vinny is in a class all his own.

Jeff M got a reaction from Pbonetheman in Physioc and Hudler. I was blind to how bad they are.
I listen more than I watch..and Terry Smith/Mark Langston are better than all of the above, in my opinion. Victor and Gubi are ok, much better than Physioc and Hudler...but Rory Markus was my favorite. RIP.

Lots of hot women in Kansas City. I don't know what you're talking about.

Jeff M reacted to RallyMo in FoxTrax...
...exists solely to validate the fact that we are better at evaluating what a strike and a ball are than somebody that is actually 3 or 4 feet away from the strike zone.

Jeff M reacted to Fontana Halo in Buck and McCarver talking up the Angels
The last time they did an Angels game McCarver was verbally licking Scioscia's scrotum.

Jeff M reacted to vlad27 in Good luck tattoo .... could be ?
I had to draw the line there - artist asked me too I just couldn't go there -
Jeff M reacted to Hollyw00d in LA Times: Angels lineup could have paired Mike Trout and Miguel Cabrera

I just love this Coello kid!

Jeff M got a reaction from WestistheBest in Arte's going to love this article...
Pujols' best years are behind him, there's no denying that. His contract, like most "elite" players is beyond ridiculous. But I still believe a healthy Albert Pujols will still put up respectable numbers for the better part of his contract. And to think that pitchers don't respect his presence in terms of their approach while he's in the box is ludicrous.
