My Favorite part of Dodgers vs Angels

Is being able to listen to Vin Scully call the game, the man is a national treasure and represents everything I love about Baseball.

 

Gubi and Rojas  are awesome, but Vinny is in a class all his own.

He has just enough facts and stats at hand to make the game enjoyable. I actually love the corny stories he tells of the players.

Same here. I watched him call all four games. Learned a ton of facts about Halos players. Who knew that Jepsen had a bunch of family members that worked at the Big A while he was growing up? He kept calling JB Shuck, Jack Burdett Shuck. I also always enjoy his story about Frieri grinding corn for his grandmother. Good stuff.

But can he tell you where your left hand should be positioned on the bat when you swing at an outside pitch, like Gubi?

He's understandably lost a couple steps, but hearing him call a game brings back memories of green grass, sunshine, and an innocent take on the game.

He does make quite a few mistakes (like calling Jared Weaver "Gerald", and saying CJ Wilson only pitched in 5 games last year), but he is still better now, then most others will ever be.
