Pity. I really wanted this thing done with as soon as possible.

WallyWorld reacted to mulwin444 in Gameday Thread: Angels vs. Mariners 6/20
I guess Mike likes the sample size of Aybar vs King Felix...
I prefer the huge sample size of Aybar being a terrible lead-off hitter his entire career.

I'm guessing there must be some split here that I don't know about. Aybar must hit well against Felix and Bourjos is 0 for Tenjos against him. Or maybe it's the lefty/righty matchup.
Or maybe Mike is just retarded. Who knows.

WallyWorld reacted to AngelsAndRamsFan in This is what makes this team so maddening
Even bad teams have winning streaks and play well over a short period of time. Houston has won 3 straight games. Toronto has won 4 straight and 7 of 10.

WallyWorld got a reaction from Homebrewer in Can Howie Win A Batting Title This Year?
Apparently for a lot of board members this is the first season they've watched Howie Kendrick play.

WallyWorld reacted to Nowani in Can Howie Win A Batting Title This Year?
Howie has been consistently inconsistent so I say no and never will win one. He gets hot then real cold. This year though he has avoided a huge slump but I think one is coming. Not being negative but a batters history usually tell you what's going to happen in the future and Howie has never even been close to a .330 hitter for a season so I don't expect him to finish this year even close to that. Ill take .300

really a shame Madson can't get healthy. He would be a perfect trade piece to a contender at the deadline.

WallyWorld got a reaction from shellback in Aybar and Kendrick
thanks for completely missing the point. It is possible to go 2 for 4 and still have a bad game. Let's say one of those outs is a pop-up on a 3-0 pitch with a runner at 3rd and 1 out, and let's say later in the game that player makes a bad relay throw on a potential DP ball, resulting in a run. And those are EXACTLY the kinds of games those two have, and so fans who don't actually watch the games look at their stats relative to their position and think they must be good players.

WallyWorld got a reaction from Angel Oracle in Hamilton and Pujols
If the team hasn't improved dramatically by the ASB (and there's no reason to think they will), and Albert is still putting up these types of numbers, then I think it's a pretty good bet that he says goodbye for the season and gets his foot taken care of. If not, it would be foolish of he and the team, IMO. On June 11th, it's probably still a little too early to call it a season, even though I agree with you they aren't going anywhere in 2013.

I appreciate SABRmetrics, but it's just not that black and white. If they were performing at career levels, it would change how the players around them are pitched to, a crucial win here or there changes the momentum of the season . . . and so on. It's not nearly as simple as adding their WAR to our win total.

zero reason that Vargas should have started that inning or still been in there after the lead-off double. **** off, Scioscia.

they say every game is won or lost with the manager's decision of when to pull his SP. Well, good chance MS just lost it this inning.

Langston gets better by the game. I've actually gained respect for him this year. Wouldn't mind seeing him take over as pitching coach.
