Benches cleared again today in the Giants-Padres game.

I guess the Rockies are the peaceful ones in the division. It's gunna get real interesting down the stretch in that division.

The deal with the Rockies is that they're actually getting some decent pitching. However, let's see if it is sustainable. Most of their starters are not going deep, and this will wear out their bullpen if it keeps happening. At least the worst starter (Francis) is going to be replaced. By Oswalt. The same Oswalt that sucked in Texas. So that'll be interesting.

 

It also remains to be seen if this keeps up for the length of Tulo's injury. CarGo has been playing out of his mind, but this may not continue, either, with some of his protection gone. Of course, if Cuddyer continues to rake, then CarGo will continue to have protection.

The division is wide open this year. Whoever has a big trade acquisition could be the team that wins it. Dodgers are probably done and I don't see the Rockies staying in it but the Padres could stay in this thing. Giants need a starter ala Garza or Nolasco. D-Backs have a very good team and I think they'll end up winning.
