I think he's an old-school manager stuck in his ways and while I loved the hiring at the time, watching the team do literally the opposite of everything he preached about and then seeing his in-game decisions, and saying stupid shit l Iike this.
He wants to succeed and I think he wants to be that guy who turns this burning, sinking, turdship around. But I'm not seeing it. I think he's trying to compete when we obviously are not going to.

Only way to fix this is from the top down. A Stalin style purge of upper management ….including our “Stalin”.

When we drafted him and brought him up last year I really thought the best-case scenario comp was Sean Casey. They just seem similar in terms of swing, approach, size, etc… I still have hope that he gets there too.

Like totprods said Anderson should be moved for any decent offer that comes along.  Vets on expiring contracts (Drury, Estevez, Moore, Pillar) should be moved for anything they can get.  You don't trade for the sake of trading or sell low but everyone on the roster should be available for the right price. 

Some team that fancies itself a contender is going to lose a starting pitcher and come calling for Anderson. That should net you someone who can contribute fairly soon and maybe another solid prospect who's farther away
Moore and Estevez should get something decent
