  1. I'm not sure I see the difference. Payback was due.
  2. Just like bowling through a guy's head is not cool?
  3. Eppler should be using this measuring stick about buying or selling, “are the Angels better than the Indians, A’s, Red Sox?” If you look only at SP, Angels definitely cannot match these teams. The Angels bullpen can hang with these teams, and the Angels offense can definitely hold its own, if not excel, to these teams. But I’m afraid the starting pitching is just too big of an issue to overcome these teams. I think Angels are closer standing pat or selling. Definitely not buying.
  4. This offseason is the first in a very long time, that the Angels have no position players to fill outside of Catcher. Backup 1B is also needed. But other than that, it’s all Starting Pitching. Even the bullpen seem set going into next year. Eppler can put all his marbles into starting pitching in an offseason where there are some really nice options.
  5. I’m more and more inclined to keep Kole for next year. This allows Angels to hold on to Adell for one more year without starting his clock, and helps ease him in to the lineup. The one hold up would be if more money is needed this offseason for starting pitching, as tots pointed out.
  6. Trout and Ohtani first. Second pick would be Acuna Jr and Freeman. Third would be Machado and Tatis Jr, moreso for Tatis.
  7. It’s really gotta be hard for both teams to play. I cannot imagine what they all are going through. I do have to give props to the Rangers for how supportive they’ve been. It can be “expected” for them to be sympathetic, but seeing Woodward and Daniels yesterday during the press conference, they were pretty shook up as well.
  8. I just moved away from the Dallas area. Would love to be there still and be at the game to support our guys.
  9. I was starting dinner (I live in EST) and scrolling twitter to look for NBA news. Came across Mike DiGiovanna’s tweet and read Tyler Skaggs had died. I read it several times in disbelief and thought it was a trolling account. I saw the account was verified, sadly. Then other tweets rolled in. I feel badly cause I was down on Skaggs after his last performance, weak balk call aside. Just a loss for words to describe this tragedy.
  10. I can’t grasp this. Does not seem real. Shocked and confused.
  11. I had the same hunch with his “timing is perfect” comment about the trip to St Louis.
  12. I was pretty high on Goodwin, but Puello has changed my mind. I would like them to keep Puello over Goodwin. Puello’s bat is pretty exciting.
  13. This twitter account called the Walsh promotion, Ward addition, and others I can’t think of. Interesting choice by Eppler and Co. Will have to make room on the 40 I believe.
  14. He reminds me a little of Kenny Lofton and Jose Reyes. Smaller guys who can light a fire for their team, and hit the home run enough to keep the pitcher honest. He seems to have sneaky power.
  15. They’ve been one of the hottest teams lately, won 7 of 9. Just beat Milwaukee 16-0 a couple games ago. And have won 13 of 18 games.
  16. I like Pena and I think Angels have bigger problems than him. He definitely had an off night. I would venture to say his next outing, injury aside, will be 5-6 innings of great pitching.
  17. I definitely think this game gives the pitchers more confidence that the offense can get them back in the game if they can just hold on. I have no idea if it will be the start of a run of dominance or anything like that. But if the Marlins can dominate, anyone can.
  18. This is why Ausmus should have gone to bullpen earlier for Pena. Angels offense trying catch up.
  19. Yes, but it’s obvious Pena wasn’t going to get many outs tonight.
  20. Pena at 61 pitches in 1 2/3 innings. Has given up 7 earned runs. Ausmus should have had someone warming earlier ridiculous!
  21. Was just about to say that until I saw you said it first.
