  1. At least he’ll get a taste of playoff baseball.
  2. This is exactly right. Angels can not wait around and then be left at the alter.
  3. If there was ever a time one team and one player were meant for each other, it would be this off season with the Angels and Cole. The Angels have lots of money to spend on starting pitching, and Cole is exactly what the Angels need. I hate to get too excited about it because I’m tired of being let down by the Angels.
  4. Oh I guess you’re right. The Angels recent play has got me less and less enthused about each game. I didn’t watch much yesterday.
  5. Will be kinda sad if Lucroy’s last play with the Angels being the collision.
  6. Oh I didn’t realize that. Seems like when I see the boxscore, he’s been in CF.
  7. I haven’t seen anyone talk about this, but Adell has played only CF so far in the minors from what I’ve seen. If he is supposed to take over RF, when does he start taking reps in RF?
  8. Just stating for the record, I am an Upton fan. His lows are ugly, but he always gets his numbers. He missed most of the season. He’s still in early May time frame as far as finding his groove. He will lock on soon, I’m sure of that.
  9. I really am curious how Eppler will straighten the shipwreck otherwise known as the rotation. One or two SPs aren’t going to do it. The rotation and depth are completely depleted. Each season it seems like we have depth and each season we blow right through it. The only way to fix it will be to use lots and lots of money and prospects. We can’t wait for anymore diamonds in the rough. Eppler needs to add at least one solid piece now and do the rest on the off-season.
  10. The wins against the MLB best Dodgers were a pleasant surprise, but these games against the O’s and then Detroit are must win games. I hope Suarez has his best stuff tonight.
  11. He probably goes to Yankees. Just my guess.
  12. I think Eppler gets a #2 type SP before next week. I’m in favor of Stroman or Syndergaard. You never know what will happen season to season. We have a legit path right now for a postseason birth, Wild Card spot so be it. Anything can happen if the Angels get in. Anyone but Adell in my book.
  13. This is all a big IF, but if Angels could at least get Syndergaard and then sign Cole in the offseason, that would put the Angels at or above the Astros in my opinion. But this is likely a dream scenario anyways.
  14. Yeah I doubt we can get them cheaply and it’s probably only a trade that the Padres or Braves or White Sox could make with their deep farms. So not likely something the Halos could pull off.
  15. Some here are better at articulating trades but how about Syndergaard and Diaz from the Mets. It would most definitely cost a lot prospect wise. If we could do it without including Adell I say we should do it. Syndergaard doesn’t reach Free Agency until the end of 21 and Diaz until the end of 22. But this fits what Eppler would like to do in adding someone who can help beyond this year. Plus a solid, elite arm in the pen.
  16. This again? At this point, I don’t care what Pujols does.
  17. Upton will be fine in LF. I’m not in favor of him moving to 1B. I don’t think he will make that adjustment. I do see him taking more time at DH in 2020 when Ohtani is pitching again while Albert rides the pine.
  18. That’s what I was thinking too.
  19. Talking about Cole, could be interesting if this whole thing keeps him from signing with the Angels.
  20. Yep I don't think players or coaches talk about hitting a certain batter. The vibe is known that "so and so" opponent did something wrong, and the pitchers know what they should do.
  21. It's not about Noe. It's about the team, and standing behind the dirty deed that happened to Lucroy. An eye for an eye. How else can a team do that to a specific player? By Hitting him. It's part of baseball history. Time to move on.
  22. It's funny. I just said to myself, Angels won't throw at him. It was a 1-1 count, and it appeared that Noe wasn't even thinking of it. Then bam! Right in the shoulder blades. Noe did it! Another moment to unite the club behind Lucroy.
  23. Just watching Marisnick afterwards, he knew it was coming and deserved it. That should be the end of it. I can't imagine that Hinch would call for hit batter.
  24. Wow, each sport has it's own way of policing. Throwing at someone is part of baseball that goes back decades upon decades. Get over it. It was due and very much warranted. No damage done. This should be the end of it.
