  1. Simmons had a .394 BA against a 95+ mph fastball in 2018. Never would have guessed it.

MLBPA is going to need to dismantle the current BA. Teams get to pay players arbitration money when they are most valuable on the field. The average player will hit FA around 26. So that leaves a team not wanting to go more than 5 years on a premium contract. Until this gets solved, owners are going to be raking in the money. I guess the short term solution would be to allow young players to opt out of arbitration at a younger age.

I still have swelling down there. It sucks. I'm back to working out and most normal things, but still some pain and can't even sleep on my stomach.

That doesn't seem normal. Did you see the doc for a follow up?

  3. I would say that the bloated contracts were becoming a crisis in baseball. This is just economics and common sense correcting itself.

If MLB and MLBPA was really interested in "market value" for a player, then why the secrecy on negotiating? True market would be allowing all teams to view all offers. Then give a date when all offers must be finalized. The player can decide which offer is best for them. This takes away the "mystery team" crap that artificially inflates deals.

how often did you go there before all of those businesses were there?

    0. But when I went, I had no idea how large the shopping area was. It's a couple blocks that is designed for pedestrian only. So the place was very clean, safe and spacious. When I was in line to get into the sports bar, the guy in front of me was in the middle of his cigarette. The line moved pretty quick so just before he was going to show the bouncer his ID, he flung his half lit cigarette in the middle of the walkway. The bouncer called him out to go chase down his cig and dispose of it properly.

  5. I went to Suntrust Park (Braves) during their inaugural season 2 years ago.  Built around the stadium are Condos, Hotels, Clubs, Bars, Restaurants, retail shopping, and a theater. All of which were built around the same time of the stadium. It was by far the best atmosphere around a stadium I have attended. We were able to grab beers and walk through the shopping area on the way to the stadium. I quickly realized that the draw to the area was not the stadium. A lot of people were there for the shopping and entertainment. After the game, we went to a sports bar that was still packed. If I lived in the ATL area, I would for sure hang out there without going to a game.

The parking was $30. But anything you purchased outside the stadium was used toward that $30. We easily purchased enough so the parking was free.

So, we have a convicted liar telling us that the president told him to lie, and he expects us to believe him.

There had better be hard evidence for this to go anywhere.

You don't want to screw over a shady lawyer. He probably recorded all kinds of crap that he wasn't supposed to.

The higher ups should get squat, and like it!

They have it coming for probably being negligent, and contributing to the fire disaster in Paradise this past autumn.

    SCE >>>>>> PG&E.

SCE was negligent with San Onofre Nuclear. In order to save money, they installed inferior steam tubes to keep the reactor cool. Knowing they effed up, they wanted to continue running the plant at a lower capacity to minimize the risk but still highly dangerous. It took officials to force a shutdown.

Now it will take years to decommission the reactors with tons of nuclear waste, being stored at the plant. As a result, SCE has to buy energy from other plants and that cost is being pushed onto the consumer.

PG&E was literally playing with fire while SCE was risking a nuclear explosion.

Its been a week and I still feel it. I was hoping to run a week later, I'm hoping I can run this month now.

One testicle is still seollen and very purple, also has a weird lump. Hopefully this gets better. Good news is I can walk almost normal now.

After my procedure, running wasn't on my to do list.
