eligrba got a reaction from Lou in The Rangers are collapsing again
Isn't that the point of having a rival?
Sorry, I grew up before participation ribbons.

eligrba got a reaction from AngelsAndRamsFan in Rays-Angels trade
The Angels should limit trades to only teams with GMs dumber than ours.

eligrba got a reaction from DMVol in Hamilton
It was frustrating to watch Trout be intentionally walked already knowing the outcome of Hamilton's future at bat. If Hamilton walks up to the plate and simply takes the first 5 pitches, he earns a walk.
Can we just give him to Good Will and take the write-off?

eligrba got a reaction from Taylor in AP: Scioscia downplays rift with Dipoto
I think it is interesting that Scioscia is the only one talking about the rift.
Hatcher was such a well respected hitting coach that after he was fired, he was immediately offered a job with.......................

eligrba reacted to Angel Oracle in Moreno's Recent Interview With MLB.COM
Thank you for 2002-2009, but good bye because Maddon and Black were clearly just about as instrumental in that, and yes their work did likely carry over for 2-3 years after they left.

Arte may do what most companies do with incompetent managers-promote them.
He should trade Scioscia to one of the numerous teams who will be lining up at the door.
Dipoto should get another year; one of the reasons he is here is because of Scioscia's poor personnel decisions (Wells, Napoli, etc).

eligrba got a reaction from arch stanton in Arte Moreno made Tony Reagins the Scapegoat
I agree with you 100%. Players come and go, success ebbs and flows, but an owner committed to winning is pricessless. Yes, he has made some mistakes, but at least he is willing to take the risk. I also understand why some folks want new ownership. We live in a "faultless society" where everyone is successful regardless of the risk. Pu**ies are afraid of failure and are often the a**holes on the side being the most vocal with "I told you so."

eligrba got a reaction from Angel Oracle in I hope this rumor is true
I am suprised that Texas is considering it. They seem to be a well ran organization with a recent history of solid personel decisions....unlike another organization that will remain nameless.

Mike Sciosia from the Titanic:
"The ship was doing well and then one unfortunate incident creates some confusion. Obviously things are not going as we expected but the crew and coaches continue to work hard while we are taking on water. You just need to tip your hat to the iceberg and turn the page."

eligrba reacted to Vegas Halo Fan in Mariano Rivera - good guy
Well said.
Rivera is probably the greatest closer to ever put on a uniform, and we are about to see the end of a truly dominant career. A guy who just goes out and does his job, doesn't brag, doesn't show up opponents, and has done it with class the whole time. I'm not a fan of his team, but I appreciate the greats of the game no matter who they play for.

eligrba got a reaction from Vegas Halo Fan in Angels to call up Brad Hawpe
Not to worry. Mike Scioscia is one of the best managers in the game and is able to turn him around.

The Angels should consider Matt Foley for their motivational speaker. I have seen him and he is great!!!

Did Blanton eat Kazmir? I was not aware that the Angels could successfully find such a shitty pitcher to replace the ones that left.

They can have a simple math problem on the scoreboard when Josh comes to the plate.....that should keep them quiet.
