If we sweep the Rockies I think Cobb and Heaney stay.

Nice!
But it's 2:40 not 4:20.

What? The Lou Wrong?

We hire part time kids. We pay them more per hour than these minor leaguers. So none.
I think this is the question that is analogous to the core of this thread:
How does your pay, your benefits and your working conditions compare to your competition - McDonalds, Carl's Jr., Burger King?

Harvey, Cahill, and Stratton were all given spots in the rotation after 21 year old Barria was sent to AAA. Despite being the teams best pitcher in 2018.
I know you love to talk about Barria but my reply to you had nothing to do with him.
You pointed out that this year Minasian has "dumped underachieving vets and went to youth movement". So yeah, Bundy, Quintana to the BP and Sandoval and Suarez have stepped up.
I pointed out that Eppler did the same thing in 2019. Harvey, Cahill and Stratton out of the rotation but the replacements didn't step up - Suarez, Sandoval, Peters and even Canning although he showed promise in some of his starts before he shut it down with injury.
My comment was about the timing. Eppler's plan was in place in 2019 but it was a couple of years away - Suarez was 21, Sandoval was 22. Minasian has inherited those guys and is benefiting from Eppler's moves. It's how it works.
So let's talk about Barria. His was a different situation in 2019. He was't an underachieving vet. He was an underachieving 2nd year player. He had a great rookie season and came into 2019 camp 30 pounds heavier and out of shape. He sucked and lost his spot in the rotation just like the underachieving vets.

Whoever thought people would say this year that starting pitching is a "good part".
That's because they dumped the underachieving vets and went to youth movement.
Eppler did the same thing with Harvey, Cahill and Stratton.
There just weren't others ready to step up. Looks like there are now.

This should be fun. -
Wow. He is a physical stud. Will follow his progress. I did notice his K% is still pretty brutal even after coming back from AZ. It's 45% for the season and still 36% since he came back from AZ. Huge potential. He's only 22 but then again he's still in A ball. That could change quickly. Can he play the OF?

I think we may be playing our way into another hold situation. Not buyers. Not sellers.
5.5 back with the win today.
Yankees, Rays, Blue Jays and A's all lost.

Cishek coming back out for the 9th.

Barria earned himself a spot in the rotation for now. Only one day off through 8/28 and a double header on 8/10 so the six man rotation is in full swing.

Waltz is good.
I liked Sutton also. For him to fired midseason there is more going on there than we know.

Stassi has an OPS of .901 now.
- Justin, Lou and Angel Oracle

Well, that sucks but ultimately the player decides when to come back from an injury.
The medical staff and testing it can provide information but this will happen on Trout's timetable.

I hope we get Fit Barria and not Fat Barria today.
Let's go!
