One of the dumbest things I have ever seen here, and I've been here about 15 years.

There is no unwritten rule of not swinging at 3-0 pitch when you have a big lead.  This is something created by a pussy who got their feelings hurt when they failed to execute the pitch.  Just another example of the continued pussonification of a great sport.

Will Ohtani’s hitting be affected by the strain?

Why "Ugh!", Chuck? I feel like almost all of us were prepared to mail his arm in for TJ surgery. I feel like this should be a sigh of relief unless I'm missing something in the prognosis?
I guess I was already under the mindset that having him in the lineup every day is much better for us than having his bat 4 times a week and a "practice start" once a week. We couldn't afford those practice starts with every game being so meaningful. Just let him get a full spring training under his belt as a pitcher next year and we have the pitching depth to cover his loss on the mound.

This was his agents comments about Ohtani signing with the Angels.

His goals were mostly centered around pitching successfully in MLB. He’s never once mentioned that he wants to win a Gold Glove in RF or at 1st Base.

I think throwing at a batter is a bitch move. Especially when its head high. I hope Joe Kelly gets a fine and suspension. 

I used to try to tell people they were in for a shock if they believed Maddon was different than MS.  If anything he's even more extreme than Scioscia ever was.   Seeing his quotes on Sportscenter and watching his interviews made fans gloss over his tendencies in the dugout.
If people hated MS, get ready for more of what you hated.  If you liked him, this is as close as you'll get and you get the added benefit of not hearing the same post-game commentary every night.
