I was being sarcastic....that's what was said when interest/potential in signing him was brought up by fans.  TW would have been a much better option.  Wish we signed 4-5 types like him and hope you hit on at least one.....instead of one of the annual Harvey types.

I hope they stay away from the premium FA SS’s.   They have plenty of on house candidates.

He was actually running full speed there. 

this is fair and reasonable but he got destroyed last year and his swing looks more complicated than it's ever been in my opinion.  And now he's got 19 k in his first 42 at bats while show boating in AAA like his success is inevitable.  And while his defense hasn't been as visibly atrocious as it was last year, he still takes poor routes to the ball and looks shaky on anything on the grass.   
In my opinion, he's kind of embarrassing himself at this point.

It doesn't matter how many scouts you have, how much you spend in analytics, or how good the information is if the guy calling the shots is going to ignore all of it and do whatever he wants 

This is what I don't get. 
Spending millions on another hitter for 5 minutes of gratification followed by years of disappointment? Totally fine
Spending a fraction of that on scouts and other staff for long term gains? Absolutely not.

Your kidding Trout loses value each year he gets older. At 35 owned 200 mill what would you get then. I'm not saying trade him but Angels in 6th losing season and you must keep all options open. As an Angel fan I'm tired of losing. You do not know if Angels would be better  off keeping him. Depends on return plus what you do with money saved. If Angels got Urias plus other players and used Trout money to get Seager. All I'm saying as fan tired of losing as I'm sure Trout is and 2022 will be more of the same.
