Reveille1984 got a reaction from YouthofToday in Astros Need a Firstbaseman
Man... people here are way higher on Cron than I am I guess. The dude is 24, a bat-only player and had a .319 OBP and .740 OPS last year. I would trade him any day of the week for a decent SP prospect.

He's a real gym rat I hear, a grinder. A student of the game if you will.

Reveille1984 got a reaction from Angel Oracle in LA Times: Angels welcome a more subdued camp
The thing is, there are very few situations in which bunting is right. Maybe if Weaver's at the plate, or if the third baseman is playing extremely deep and you have a surprise element, or etc. You have to have an element of unpredictability with the process for it to statistically make sense, and Scioscia is about as predictable as finding a turd at a dog park.
Giving up an out for free is pretty much the worst thing you can do if you want to score runs.

Reveille1984 got a reaction from Chuck in Not as enthusiastic as in most seasons
Welcome to the world of fans from pretty much 90% of teams going into a baseball season. And as you've seen the past four years, feeling like you have a good team and what actually takes place on the field are two very different things.
Most teams have weaknesses, some more glaring than others. Maybe if you're a Cardinals, Tigers or Red Sox fan you aren't too worried.

Reveille1984 got a reaction from Glitchy in Iannetta's eyes in the best shape of their lives...
Sometimes you don't realize your vision is even that bad until you get an accurate prescription. I've gone a couple years without updating my glasses before, and you can definitely feel like a moron. "Wow, I could have been seeing this well the whole time!" *Drools on self, mouth agape*
But I agree, as a professional athlete you'd think it would be some kind of requirement.

Reveille1984 reacted to tdawg87 in Angels and Trout to discuss Multi year deal?
I literally cannot process in my head why this even matters. He played in the vast majority of the games, and had the 2nd most plate appearances on the team. You're either trolling or arguing for no point whatsoever.
