He's still my all time favorite but if he can't take the ball every fifth day then what's the point?

He's a lefty who probably still has options. Maybe they expect he'll be part of a trade package to a team not expecting to contend. Maybe he has a history with one of the scouts or coaches. Is it worth the heartburn to sweat the roster this early?

That makes perfect sense to me. When I shop for something I'd like to know what I'm looking at paying while browsing. I don't want to get to the front register with fingers crossed hoping the refrigerator I'm gonna buy is on sale. Tell me what I'm going to owe, not what I could have owed if things were different.
It would be great if they could find a way to allow people to browse while ensuring they are aware that discounts and subsidies might significantly alter their cost. It would suck if people opted for worse insurance because they didn't understand they could be better covered at the same expected cost because of the subsidies that are owed to them.

As they're finding out in Egypt, different isn't necessarily better. We need to gut the two party system and splinter the megacorporations and really start from scratch.

The only hope is to have the corporations who make record profits pay record taxes. If they don't like it then they can just not sell their Chinese crap to the 300 million ravenous consumers in the US.

He's a gold glove caliber player at a premium defensive position who has proven he can hold his own offensively. He's cost controlled for the next few seasons. Teams will call. He alone won't net you an all star starter but he has plenty of trade value.

It doesn't surprise me at all. Most of the people in these countries are sick of them and want to get on with their lives. The social media generation is different and will eventually try to squash the intolerant asshats who give them all a bad name.

I think my point sailed over your head.  There's much more to life than good weather. 

The only way any of this changes is to get the money out of politics. I still think the pols should dress NASCAR style with a list of sponsors all over their jumpsuits. Scroll the donor lists under their mouths when they talk. Or just get rid of private contributions all together.

I'm also sick of the words Facebook and Twitter. 

I think my problem is the the whole "compete" idea.  Why would the public option need to compete with the private ones?  The could have coextsted without competing.  That is where a lot of the blowback came from.
 
If the government is involved there really isn't a real competition since they can vote, repeal, pass or get from the courts whatever they want to get their own favor.
