Who pours beer on someone?  I don't get how you jeopardize your game 7 experience for something like that and to poor beer on a kid.  With those ticket prices too ooof.  Marlins Man was afraid to go to Indians games during the playoffs.  They heckle him hard for '97 still.

Escobar is too good of a contact hitter to let go over a 7 million club option.  Unless he gets busted for domestic violence or something equally as stupid, keep him.

I was thinking another possibility could be that before Alozo showed up, his other hosts were programmed to stall his arrival with the guests since he was just killed by man in black?

My money would be on a Jon Jay. Low cost, good defense, hits for average and can run a bit, can hit at the top or bottom of the order and provides CF depth for when Trout needs a breather.

Careful on the pen...i'm still weary on how good Street can actually be going forward. Literally all they have is Bedrosian imo, and he isn't completely proven yet. The pen still needs major work. I would be happy with getting two very solid arms in the off season.

I think I've read that's it's speculated to be because scouting in Asia is fairly expensive, and for awhile, it didn't seem very effective either. Since the org has obviously barely invested money into any form of amateur scouting recently, this wasn't surprising and seemed to explain why.

Yes, we lack the contacts and haven't had the funding. Under the Reagins and early part of Dipoto's regime, the Angels upped their payroll to the point where they were operating in the red (spending more than their income). Arte spent his own money to even things out once, but refused to do that again as many owners frequently do (the White Sox and Tigers come to mind).
As a result, we cut expenditures at every avenue, which included no money for international scouting. None for Asia especially. We still had our academy in the Dominican Republic, but it was on the wrong side of the island and was falling apart. The prospects we brought in were the ones no one else wanted.
The year before Dipoto left, Scott Servais was our AGM and generally in charge of the minor league operation. He first asked Arte to fund a new complex and Asian network. He pretty much laughed at that one. Then he proposed cutting the major league budget to fund a new complex in Boxa Chica as well as money to set up an extensive network of scouts in Korea and Japan. Dipoto gave it the green light and proposed it to Arte. 
Arte felt it was too aggressive, and Dipoto convinced him the organization cannot operate without this money. Arte gave in and restructured the budget so that they could build a new complex in the Dominican Republic and hire new scouts, but he did not want to fund anything in Asia and wouldn't spend his own money.
Eppler has more experience in Asia than Dipoto did, and had openly discussed spending their presence out there. I don't know if this is smoke or if he actually convinced Arte to spend money out there.

Is there a reason why the Angels don't sign any big league players out of Asia recently?  Even before our international restrictions for going over for Baldoquin.  Although I don't think that really applies to the Asian market or purchasing contracts from Asian teams?  The last one I can recall is Shigetoshi Hasegawa
