So I stopped paying attention after the first round due to work. I understand that we went very heavy on pitching, but can someone fill me in on if the selections make sense/are solid picks with upside?

Sutton is a good guy, but as I've come to understand, this is an issue regarding his faith, and his openness of it, and how it has affected his work relationships. He's mentioned God on air a few times and uses faith specific vocabulary, and hasn't altered his approach to broadcasting, in spite of multiple warnings from producers.
Make of that what you will, but I've been told this from a reliable source.
Wtf

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those moments that we really really regret. I hope I’m wrong

Rajai Davis will be the new PBP guy according to sources
Really? He was even worse than Sutton in the one game I heard from him lol

I’ve thought for a while that if there is a team that’s going to take a try at Rocker, it would be the Rockies. We’ll see

Thank god. He was terrible IMO. Nothing against him, seemed like a good guy, but just not the right guy for that job
Matty V is a good one and I think they can find a better part time guy

Let us also not forget that the Angels had a lot of faith in Walsh. So much so that they took the PR hit that came after DFA’ing “the Machine”.
We all knew it was the right move, and now it’s paying off ten-fold. He’s helping to carry the team in the absence of Trout, Rendon and Upton and he’s deservedly an All Star.
All because the organization had the balls to kick Albert to the curb. It was a gamble and I’m glad it’s paying off.
Kicking Pujols to the curb was not a gamble or a ballsy move in any way. 3 years below replacement level. It should have been done last year. Props to Minasian for convincing Arturo
I remember people here arguing that we didn’t have someone who could replace Pujols adequately. Funny shit

He ain’t going anywhere. He’ll be the 1B for the next 5 years he’s under control

Can someone please fill me in on why Rocker went from being a pretty consensus top 2 to being a 6-9 pick all of a sudden? I don’t get it

I was not impressed with this Boston team at all. Seems like a lot of players over achieving.
Same. I see them possibly going .500 the rest of the way but we’ll see. That still might be enough for them to sneak into the playoffs though. They’ve really put themselves in a good spot

I think we will be buyers and sellers at the same time, if that makes any sense. There’s no way you punt on the season if you’re 2-5 games back with 65 to play. But at the same Time you have to try to get cost Controlled arms for certain guys who aren’t going to be on the team next season

Player of the game is Walsh. That dude is just something else. On pace for 40 bombs still
-
Fuck yeah! This team is battling

The defense doesn’t help him at all obviously but I would love for this to be Heaney’s last season here. He’s been a disappointment

Sutton and Gubi are nails on the chalkboard

Baserunninf and defense just killing them

David Fletcher wins AL player of the week

Fletch is awesome. I was completely wrong about him when he was a prospect. I thought he’d be a utility player at the absolute maximum. He’s an above average starter and borderline all star
We all wish he had more power and plate discipline. Hed be Dustin Pedroia if he did. But it doesn’t prevent him from being a above avg regular
So refreshing to see this team develop someone who wasn’t ever a top prospect into being a key contributor
