Gonzalez just confirmed that it's Gott basically. IMO this is a huge mistake

Who the hell is going to pitch in this teams bullpen. Right now they have Street and a bunch of trash (Smith and Morin are decent)
I'm losing faith in Eppler slowly but surely

It's a good signing if it's as a 4th outfielder/cowgill replacement

Hearing #Angels owner Arte Moreno really waffling on whether to take payroll past $189-million luxury tax threshold.
lol
He's really being a tight ass it seems like. We've got Wilson and Weaver coming off the books after the season which is going to free up like 38 million. Why not just pay the luxury tax for one year, be a good team, then scale back next year?
He shot his wad on the wrong players, and now he's afraid to spend on team needs. That's embarrassing ownership

Angels are still open to bringing back David Murphy, who could form a platoon in LF with a RH power hitter. Fallback to not signing big FA.

lol...get ready for more mediocrity in Trout's prime years if that happens. What a waste of an inner circle hall of fame player if that happens

We can still bring back Kendrick, but at the cost of our first round pick and a lot of cash, I can't say I'm excited about that.
I wouldn't want Kendrick unless it's only 10 million a year which I don't think he'd accept.
Howie is 32 years old now and had a poor defensive season for the dodgers last year. I see red flags

Zobrist set the market I believe. I doubt Murphy gets much more than him, despite his playoff performance.
My problem is that Zobrist is a better more versatile player. I know it's in the past but I'd be upset if we settle for a worse player for the same amount of $$

My two cents:
Wouldn't want Murphy if he costs a draft pick...will be overpaid because of his playoff performance.
Should have just signed Zobrist...so far this is a disappointing offseason if we don't get Hayward

Another bad part about this is we took on like 9 million more dollars. If CJ isn't traded I wonder what effect that has on our budget and acquiring a stud OF
