true. it's not like frieri is a bad dude, he's a standup guy and a good reliever. he's just being used improperly.

throwing at the head is never cool. i just don't have a problem with the bean ball. i get bothered by the reasons sometimes, more so than the actual bean ball.
 
braun could get hit for the rest of his career and i'd tip my glass to the pitcher. even outside of the steroid shit, he ruined a guy's career knowing he was guilty.

i understand it not working out because lucroy hit a grand slam, but i'm not understanding what's so wrong with putting braun on to set up the force out. i'm also not understanding the problem with plunking braun. **** ryan braun, he's a horrible person.

too much to talk about already, but i have to respectfully disagree with many of jeff's points throughout this thread. frieri is not a closer on a playoff team. frieri is a 7th inning man on a playoff team, and he's a good one. we're just using him wrong.

i'm not going to read this thread, because i have a pretty good idea of what is going to be in it. i did read the article and there is too much in there for me to pick apart, suffice to say albert has a disconnect between his ego, his history and his reality. the thing that annoyed me the most in the article wasn't any of albert's quotes as those are understandable, it was alden's statement that albert's approach is still like it used to be, which isn't true from what i've seen.

the D for this team is greatly improved. we need someone else to suck on D, it's not going to suck itself.

i'm ok with talk, but back it up. if you talk a lot and can't back it up, then you're an asshat. don't be an asshat.

that is one of the scenarios i am for. i think they both should be playing for their jobs, but i don't know that they are. i am satisfied with what we're doing in the minor leagues and draft, given the situation they were given.

we all can argue back and forth, but one thing many, if not most, could agree on is it's the same old angels day after day after day. we are settling in as a middling franchise and i'm not cool with it. 
 
it's hard to feel positive about this team for very long.

i see terrible balance from gettys in that video. probably helps to explain his trouble with swing and miss. based off of that video i'm not a fan.
