if mcdonald is used correctly, which is to say for his glove rather than his bat. don't be surprised if he saves a game for us in the playoffs. he's not much with the bat, but he's an amazing glovehand.

i don't think the question is whether or not dunn's acquisition is a panic move. i think the question is, are the A's as a team in a desperate spot? for me, the answer is yes or damn close to it. if the angels can sweep them today, then the A's are going to leave a demoralized team, with very few opportunities to control their own fate. i saw their bench last night after the game and they were bumming hard. another loss today can help cement that and an A's victory will help to relieve that as they leave town. dunn, cespedes, lester, sam or otherwise, things have not gone according to design for the A's since the trading deadline.

no matter what happens for the rest of his career. he's going to be in the angels hall of fame. i picture him signing another contract with the angels as he slides down the rotation and eventually a coaching/FO position. the dude's really becoming an angel legend.

i was always under the impression that one year contracts, such as colon's remaining balance, were considered easily absorbed and manageable by front offices.

imagine this rotation with a healthy richards. i think we would have walked away with the division. weaver has been steady, wilson is coming around again and richards/shoemaker have been outstanding.

i looked at the scoring/settings last night and i only saw the 10 yards/1 point selection, perhaps i missed it, but i don't think so. on yahoo right above that 10yards/1 spot is a box for receptions and you have to enter an amount, in this case it would be "1", sometimes it's less.
