How much less could you care?
Anyways while his tenure here was a major letdown it may be while until MLB has someone else reach even 600 home runs.  From a historical perspective it’s definitely impressive.

2021 saw quadruple the number of encounters along the southern border from 2020.  Seems the previous policies and stance were more effective. Most the people coming won’t legitimately qualify for asylum and more and more aren’t Mexican citizens as they’re from other countries. Hold Mexico accountable, do a better job securing the border, don’t let people game the asylum system and finally go after employers who hire people not legally allowed to work here. Both sides have long used this topic and the people coming here illegally for their own agenda.  The current admin had no plan other than to roll back what the prior admin had done and it’s backfired spectacularly.

That’s exactly who it was couldn’t remember who until you said it. It was Agholor who made a great catch that almost turned into a monumentally stupid play.

Raiders lose in spectacular fashion in OT fumbling the ball away almost in FG range and AZ took it to the house. The defender threw or dropped the ball shortly after crossing goal line which is the second time I’ve seen that today and it was way too close to being a fumble. Raiders were up 23-7 to start the 4th quarter.

What a shit show by Denver.  Two fumbles on the one and instead of going for it on 4th and 5 they opt to try a 64 yard FG to end the game. Looked like an offense that didn’t play in any pre season games together. Good call Hackett.

The federal government hasn’t done its job for decades while border states foot the bill. Hopefully we’ve finally reached the point where our elected officials will address the issue but I doubt it.

4 red zone trips that resulted in 6 points.  12 penalties for 106 yards 2 of which were false starts on a lineman who had 2 all of last season.  Then as PattyD22 mentioned over a minute left and they let the play clock run down before using their first time out.  Terrible all around and they deserved to lose but I'd rather see them going for it on the 4th down and losing there if they come up short.  Not a loss they could afford in the AFC West.

Snydergaard was gone after the season so his performance or long term value for an Angels team that wasn't going to make the playoffs is irrelevant.  Hopefully the change of scenery for Moniak is what he needed.  If O'Hoppe ever makes the majors and especially if he sticks as a C who can hit then that's an absolute win for the Angels.  As jsnpritchett said the only way the Angels really lose is if Marsh becomes a star or better and Moniak/O'Hoppe/Sanchez are non factors.

I haven't watched the third episode yet but this is where I am through the first two.  Hopefully the writing improves otherwise it will be another show/movie where they pay for good source material then completely waste it either by not doing it justice or completely changing it while hoping the name makes them money.
As far as ratings the shows that make the news due to their ratings usually have a disproportionate amount of very high and/or very low ratings early on which can probably be ignored.  I don't care about the race element and if people just ignored the complaints and didn't feed the trolls they'd eventually go away.
Caught Endeavour season 8 and enjoyed it.  Had a free trial of PBS for a week and tried Inspector Lewis but only got through the 1st episode.  Didn't like the main characters as much as Endeavour but if I get the chance to watch more episodes maybe I'll warm up to them.

If money were no object I'd buy the house next to cals and let Taylor live there rent free for shits and giggles.
As far as my remaining working years there's plenty of nice places in CA that I like location wise, have great views and great weather like La Jolla but ultimately I'd want to get away from the rat race at least part of the year so split time in two locations like Adam.  The second location would be on or near a lake, river or bay and have far fewer people than we have in CA.  My wife's great grandfather came here from Italy and because they can trace their lineage she was able to get dual citizenship.  I love the idea of retiring to somewhere in Italy in wine country where it's laid back and we can refurbish an old house or farm on some small vineyard.

Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with this debt forgiveness.  Just a shame the problem has gone on for multiple administrations and they should have all looked into the college grift and predatory lending practices, instead it got out of hand so I would rather go after that issue first instead of just throwing billions at it. It won't fix the real issue.
