I don't know if I'd go that far. I would say that you shouldn't just classify all "analytics" guys as the same. Some are better than others, even if they are all "analytics" guys.
My sense is that the Angels weren't relying too much or too little on "analytics," but maybe that the particular analytics they were using weren't the best for the particular players/coaches they had.

Yea, you have no idea what you are talking about as it relates to Nevin, the sale of the team, and the restrictions placed on Minasian during the time the team was up for sale.  No manager worth a damn is taking a one year deal.  No team up for sale is giving out multi year deals to managers.  

The heart and hustle award was earlier in the week. The only other one last night was Estévez winning the pitcher of the year.

I just want to point out that about 75 percent of people who commented or replied about this story read it as “Fletch is great and the Angels screwed him.”
People see what they want to see, I guess
