People need to make smarter decisions with their money too.  Its easy to save when you live with your parents but everyone wants to move out asap and be on their own.  I lived at home through college instead of renting somewhere like most of my friends and had a fulltime job at the same time.  In those 4 years I saved up enough for a down payment on a 2 bedroom condo in Anaheim.  Rented out one of the rooms to a friend for the 5 years i lived their because i couldnt afford the $1,600 mortgage on my own.  Sold it for 150K profit and bought a 3 bedroom house in Anaheim with the profits.  My mortgage is now $1800 and I only owe 244K on a house worth 570K.  I have never made more than $55K/year at my job and yet i have friends that make 100k+ a year and can't afford to buy a house in OC.   I understand people have different situations then me and not everyone could do this but i always saw renting as the biggest waste of money and made my monetary plans around that thought process.  

Yea, you hate to see a noncall lead to a goal.  I did think the Bruin threw his leg that wasn't contacted in the air pretty aggressively trying to draw a call which I hate too.  

Phillies need an outfielder.  Maybe we can get a low level minor league pitcher for Goodwin. I would rather get a lotto ticket arm for him then to lose him for nothing.

I just finished Informer on Amazon. It is just one season but i thought it was good.  Reminds me of The Wire but British.  The lead actor for Raza had never acted before on TV and I thought he was the best one on the screen.

Yea I was driving home from vegas maybe 10 years ago during one of the butterfly migrations and I had butterfly wings  coating the entire length of my antenae.  It looked like i was decorating my car for a rave or something.

Why compare a position like C/SS to pitching?  Instead, lets compare how many pitchers are on the 25 man roster to the amount of C's or SS's.  How many pitchers does the average team use in 1 game or season and how many SS are used on average?  If we were drafting the same amount of pitchers that we do SS we would either have way too many SS in the organization or not enough pitchers.

I took the train from Fullerton to Chicago when I was 8.  It took 2.5 days.  There were some nice scenic sections but it also went trough the crappiest areas too.  My mom and i just had 2 seats, not a private cabin.  If I were to do it again now i would definitely look into a cabin.  The restaurant on the train was pretty good though, this is coming from 8 year old me who probably got chicken fingers or a hot dog.  It did stop here and there but it was just enough time to get off the train and walk around the station's shops, not enough time to get any where else. It was a cool experience though.  

If they stay healthy I think they could be but if they miss the playoffs I want them to miss bad so we can get a high draft pick for once.
