Adell is possibly the future. Hicks is a warm body and should be treated as depth.

Seriously though, how and why did Hicks get gifted the best spot in the lineup.

Adell and Rengifo each have a grand total of one start in 5 games. That is absurd. 

Sano was K'ing regardless so it didn't really matter. Wonder how many more weeks until Hicks and Sano are full time bench players instead of starters like they should be. I'd like to hurry up and get to that point

This is not the Angels best lineup.

Adell is notably more patient and not not taking as many wild swings. Get him in as a regular and let him get in sync having a regular routine. 

Okay Adell needs to be a regular starter. This is the season they should figure out if he is part of the future or not.

If I remember correctly the first 2 months were pretty encouraging, then they shit the bed. 

It's at the expense of our young talent. Hicks is washed. Yankees knew it. Don't know why we are trying to save him. 

at this point I like to see the Halos pay for Rendon's contract and him be in another team's line up !

So many things to bitch about and Jared Walsh is what we decided on? lol 

Maybe the strategy is to get blown out every game so you can have ABs for Sano and Hicks at the beginning and Adell, Moniak, and Regnifo at the end.

If we are playing "the being optimistic game",  it is just as conceivable that Moniak and Adell out produce Sano and Hicks and make the playoffs
Than hoping for big bounceback years from Sano and Hicks and makes the playoffs.
 
IMO our chances of making the playoffs are the same this year.

Because it doesn't develop players you need to have for the next 5 years in Moniak and Adell, while Sano struggles to pick up another bench job next season. The same can be said for Hicks. He is another borderline veteran bench guy given playing time over younger guys, with a higher ceiling, that need to be on the field.
Washington is playing too safe thinking this year is about winning a wildcard over creating the finished 2025 roster. They have a very slim chance of a wildcard slot this season and none next year if Moniak and Adell don't get their skills honed this year.

You wish we would let our prospects play?  That is exactly what has been happening for 3 years.  

Lackey was a high end number two guy IMO, very close to ace status. 
For me a plethora of guys like Santana, saunders, etc can be more valuable than a sole ace.
