I agree about Ward but everyone seems to forget that Scioscia will end up platooning Ward and whomever is the left handed bat on the bench. Same with Thaiss and anyone thecall up. I look forward to the day that Scioscia is gone. He over manages, constantly changing the lineup. This team is not the National league, put the best 9 players in the lineup and stop messing with it.

If Ohtani can’t pitch next season ( probable) then he becomes the regular DH. It won’t be necessary to only have him hit 3-4 times a week. That makes  it less necessary to add a big left handed bat. Harper will be way too expensive and I doubt he would want share the limelight with Trout and Ohtani. I hope Eppler can spend the money on a true leadoff hitter and some decent pitching. 

I think we can all agree that Valbuena needs to go, hopefully sooner rather than later. The fact he is hitting 5th is on Scioscia and his worthless platoon system. He is platooning Fletcher with Valbuena which is absurd. If they promoted Ward or Thaiss it would be the same thing. I just hope Scioscia isn’t extended because that would be enough to make me give up on this organization.

Strange thought but combining Trout and Harper would be like the pairing of Mantle and Maris. 
That said I'd rather see Trout and Adell paired up.

Detroit was entering a rebuild and were looking to unload Verlander’s contract. The Mets have no reason to trade DeGrom  unless they are overwhelmed by an offer.  Other teams can offer way more than the Angels. What happens after 2019 when Degrom could walk after 2020. At that point you are in a position to have to trade him if he doesn’t agree to an extension. I think he would be a great pickup but only if you could extend him for 3-4 years.

I think that would get it done. And I'm not a guy who usually says that about the proposed trades here. 
But heck no! Not for a pitcher. They get hurt too often.

You can move the guys on the 25 man around all you want, but its still the same crap. This is a miserably inconsistent offense that will continue to perform as such no matter the order.

To get the offense where it needs to be, we're a solid three hitters away. The rotation is fine. But the bullpen, my goodness. At minimum, we're three shutdown relievers away.
So I think we are six players away from threatening the Astros, Yanks and Red Sox across a full season.
But there's only half a season left. The M's will collapse for sure, but do we have the talent to overtake them and the A's in only a half season? 
No chance.
This team needs to promote the kids and let them get some playing time, assess if they'll help in 2019, then use trades and free agency to fill in the gaps. Then Eppler needs to use minor league free agents to build depth beyond that.

I just fell into it back when I was in school in the late 90's. Started playing in a local competition after I saw a flyer and picked the Angels somewhere along the way. Probably shouldn't mention I'm also a Seahawks fan as well, but at least I know I'm not he only one

Paredes has only pitched 4 scoreless innings this year

He also has 2 games where he recorded no outs & gave up a hit or walk & was pulled but no runs ended up scoring.
When is this bum getting demoted, DFAed, or contract terminated ? I think he'd be lucky to get a little league contract.
