This post confuses me. Not in a "this doesn't make sense because I want to disagree with you" way, but more in an "I don't know what you mean" way.

Nope. Didn't intend to offer any kind of solution with that post. Just elaborating on why I think the mass shooting route tends to be a common way crazy/angry people seem to act out.

Yeah, those are good low cost, high potential reward contracts. After missing out on the bigger guys this offseason, I'd hope we start tossing a few deals like this out there and hope one or two of them work out. I know that'll seem like same old same old to a lot of people around here, but it only takes one of those deals being a success to turn this into a really competitive team.

I'm not sure we should take the blabbering of 250+ year old drunks that were just starting to learn about crop rotation and thought blood letting was a pretty sweet medical treatment for just about everything as gospel that we have to strictly adhere to when tackling modern problems.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but doesn't the difference between Teheran's XFIP and SIERA suggest a decent amount of ground balls? And if so, maybe having a pretty fantastic infield defense behind him will lead to some good results? Could be a case of Eppler and others looking for value from a pitcher that fits well with our team defensively and may end up with better results because of it. Just my own little positive spin on what I'm seeing there.
