Seems super super speculative. But there would be some crazy irony if the only really bad disease that came out of the Americas during the age of exploration ended up infecting the person that supremely screws up American society hundreds of years later.

Was hoping to catch it in time. And I did. I have enough self worth to get through the day now. Thanks. I know it was your plan all along.

No one can compete with Kohl’s on the annoying biz model scale
1. get left over product from name brands
2. mark up 150%
3. Sell at 30% discount
4. increase discount when buyer purchases multiple items
5. kohl’s cash rewards for more discounts
Jusy pay full ticket at Macy’s

Another consequence of an incredibly bad system that should be burned to the ground. It is what it is. Sick people, even those who can’t pay should be treated. Audit the hospitals to the greatest extent that you can.

Besides being a pretty freaking obvious murder, it's also a really bad look for the police/DA in the area.

Don got a reaction from Taylor in 2020 Election
Are the two sides really that opposite? At the end of the day, whether Trump gets re-elected or Biden does, we'll still be arguing about the same dumb shit in an oligarchy disguised as a democracy. I highly doubt my life, or really anyone here, changes much at all based on the outcome of this election. I mean maybe we'll take home $20 or $30 less or more a week depending on who wins, but I don't see any real dramatic change either way. Now, if the dems got behind Sanders seriously, then I think voters would be deciding between two very opposed viewpoints/policy agendas. But Biden and Trump? I don't think they're really all that different except in the media narrative.

Got a call from a headhunter today about a management position at another company. Told them I was good where I’m at (real truth, I have no desire to be in management), but spent five minutes talking up someone we recently laid off (no good reason for the layoff, just money I’d guess). Felt like a good deed for the day.

Not sure I follow your exact logic there, but I do believe it’s a nice alternative to marriage. I mean if it’s one or the other.

Nebraska and Maine being the only two states that actually split up their electoral votes.

Exactly. I don't get the "it'll just be some watered down form of normal baseball" argument. I'll happily take whatever we can get when the time is right and it can be done responsibly/safely. I'll be perfectly willing to argue about how the league sets stuff up when they come back, but as long as it's some kind of a season/tournament/event I'll be happy.

Haven't seen Tdawg today so I guess I'm up for the rant....
You sorry sacks of sanctimonious pig shit. The fucking Patriot Act gets renewed year after year, we get spied on, taxed into oblivion, cops regularly kill and walk, our military roams the world droning people, and this is the hill you choose to die on?
Eat a giant bag of dicks and drop the fuck dead

The PPP was worded so poorly that really the only condition to apply was having less than 500 employees. From their perspective, at worst it is a business loan with an insanely low 1% rate, at a time when capital is hard to come by, and at best it is deemed legitimate payroll expenses and is "forgiven" by the government. I don't think they envisioned when they applied that they'd be stealing it from real small business owners and the PR ramifications of it, but the banks stepped up big time for their largest clients and made sure they got paid first. 'murica.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.. where are you getting your info? Wherever it is, reconsider your sources.
COVID-19 killed more humans today alone than SARS, MERS and H5N1 have added together in total since they all emerged. If, just for fun, you'd like to count yesterday into the COVID-19 stats, you can add Ebola into the grand totals.
That's kinda why the reaction has been so strong.

I'm still all for a March Madness-style tournament if it's possible. Seven game series all the way through. Every team gets seeded according to record from last year (I'm sure some tiebreakers will be needed). WS teams from last year get a bye, but in a "screw the Astros" twist, we give their bye to the Yankees, because even being fair kinda sucks sometimes. From there, start the seven gamers. The max number of games a team would have to play to win it all would be 35, the minimum would be 16 (if a team with a bye sweeps every series). They could start this as late as mid-September and still get it done by the end of October.
