Yeah, you’re probably right. But say he gets through seven with 90-95 pitches and no more runs. Would you want him out there for the 8th? I would. Ten years ago that’s not even a question.

Took a few ticks off his velo for better command looks like. DOesn't need to dial it up to 100 MPH when he has the kind of splitter he has.

Does that make Albania decidedly not third world? Also, 4th lowest unemployment rate in the Balkans, so that's gotta count for something. As for the great nation of South America, I will need to conduct more research into its past foreign policy.

Every concussion is different, so it’s really hard to speculate on Stassi’s particular one without info directly from him. That said, i imagine they’re giving him some rehab work for the same reason they’d give anybody else some... to get his timing back at the plate, and in his case to get used to catching in real game situations for a couple days.
You’ve gotta be tough as hell to play catcher at the pro level. You’re gonna get hurt pretty regularly, and I’d venture to guess that concussions are way more common among catchers than you think. As a little example, I remember a lot of people here in KC talking about this in regard to Salvador Perez a few years back:

Not to make excuses, but with the time he's missed, Im sure his mechanics are off.
Before his last injury, he was starting to come around. He'll get there

Rendon will be fine. He struggled out of the gate last season, then ended up posting typical Rendon numbers.  He struggled out of the gate this season, then got injured, then came back and struggled a bit before getting hot ... just before getting injured again. He seems to be a slow starter.
