I am amazed that fans can still diss Vernon.  Yes, he didn't perform here, but he stayed classy.  More than I can say for many fans.

How did they feel about him as he was trotting around the bases after hitting the HR that should have given the Angers their first WS title?  Were they just as disturbed by his addiction and hypocrisy then?

a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.   Does that not make them hypocrites?

Since I was a kid, reading the Angels coverage in the paper(s) has been a routine that I inherited from my Dad.  From back in the days of the Herald Examiner, it's been a staple of my morning.  When they folded, I started taking the Times.  When the digital age began, I have been doing it online so as to not have to dispose of all that paper.  It was then that I added OCR's coverage to my morning ritual.  My morning is not complete until I have consumed all of the Angels coverage offered by the local papers.
 
One more thing, there will be posts slamming their coverage for one reason or another.  I find such attitude to be internet slop.  It is quite likely that there is not a member on this board that can do what Jeff and Marcia do day in and day out.  They may not be my personal favorite writers either, but they are pros folks.  Think you can do better?  Become a psuedo-beat writer and craft two daily articles of length and of enough quality to be read by hundreds of thousands of people.  Don't forget to put a comments section at the end, open to the anonymous general public to ensure that every comment isn't "great read" as you would typically get in a familiar community such as this.  And don't forget that, like baseball, it's a marathon not a sprint.  Do this for the entire season, relishing the off day where you only have to write one article, though generally longer and more creative (those off-day articles are always my favorites).
 
I for one like to fancy myself a person who can write, yet I know I probably couldn't do that job to an acceptable level of quality for 7-8 months straight.  Just like I can't hit a baseball as well as Howie Kendrick, or even Jeff Mathis for that matter.
 
Pay a pittance for the enjoyment I get from their work?  Please, it's a no-brainer for me.

That's the conclusion you came to after reading the post?  Well, I guess thanks are in order for reading the post.  Second, EVERY penny of profit/royalty from LTBUShop is going to Miracle League and on top of that, we're personally going to add to it.  The site's up and running and if nothing comes of it, no big deal...we'll still be donating to Miracle League and other charities as we choose.

Hey guys.  Love the look of the new site and have every confidence that y'all will iron out the bugs.  Seems like I am getting the same bugs as everyone else so I won't detail them here.
 
What I am here to suggest it that you do a "Troubleshooting/Known Issues since the 2/22/13 Launch" thread in the main forum (or across all forums if that capability exists).  It will be easier to find and easier than having to address/move any new threads
 
Plus, for the user, it makes it easier because they don't end up fiddling with their device trying to fix things they can't.. 
 
Also, with the new social features, you may see an influx of new visitors without the solid impression of the site that regulars already have.  My concern is their impression will be a negative one and making it crystal clear that you know of their issues and are working to correct, may buy you some latitude with them.  Plus, including the relaunch date in the thread title will instantly say to them "this is a unique situation" or "pardon our dust" if you will.
 
Finally, I think it will increase the tech feedback you get, especially if you request in the first post that people include what device, OS of that device and browser they are using.
 
Again, love the site.
 
After thought:  It also would serve as an easy place for people to track the progress being made.
