Poll: Which victory byline was your fave?

My Fellow Halo fans,

Its been on my random mind lately what the best Post Victory byline is favored by us fans

1) JUST another Halo Victory

2) You can put a Halo over this one

3) Light That Baby Up

 

I created the thread so I will vote first...

After all the years of misery being an Angels fan, I detested the cockiness the phrase "Just Another Halo Victory" brought, as if it were a ho-hum thing.  It wasn't.  Every day the Angels won was a good day, and every day the Angels lost was a bad one.  And over the course of the Angels history, they had more bad days than good ones, as such, I had more bad days than good ones.

 

I vote for "Light That Baby Up!"  It's much more appropriately celebratory.

"JUST another Halo victory" for me. It's what I mostly remember of years past. But "Light That Baby Up" is on it's way to becoming my favorite. Plus I own a cool shirt with that tagline.

Light That Baby Up seems to have more exuberance and Just Another Halo Victory makes it seem the win was easy and common. However, the latter also has the touch of endearment, linking directly to the Angels. I prefer J.A.H.V.

what I liked about JAHV was that it had a natural genesis, it's just something that happened not something that was contrived.

I liked Rory's call.  I liked Dick Endberg's "And the halo shines tonight", thought that may be tinged with childhood nostalgia.  

 

Victor's current call may be my favorite because it's always said with a certain oomph.

I do not remember that JAHV was ever delivered with any ho-hum intonation. 

I always remember it as being an up-beat exciting statement.

 

I liked the Enberg tag line as well.

I knew there was a Dick E line, but I was too young and not yet a fully commited Halo fan when he was with us. Thanks for sheading the light on that one!
