Stop generalizing. I wouldnt complain that something cost us a playoff spot. This team runs into a ton of u neccessary outs, they make stupid mistakes on a daily basis that you dont see other teams do. They never make adjustments, and let bad teams sweep them without much of a fight. For you to sit here and say that 2 games cost us a playoff spot, when the Rangers and Astros both played the same team, is LAUGHABLE.

There is literally 0 % chance we could host the wild card game. It will be played in New York no matter what.

If they lose in the first round again, no.  

We need to win 6 out of our next 7 games in order to have any shot at making the postseason.  We also need Houston to lose again tonight.

You would have to be crazy to throw 150-200 million at any of the starting pitchers on the market this offseason.  In todays MLB, you dont give out ridiculous contracts to starting pitchers.  They can and will easily break down on you.  We should have learned from that mistake by now (CJ Wilson).  We have enough young starting pitching to be able to field a solid rotation for the next few years, even if we dont sign anybody.  But we have a lot of upgrades that need to be made offensively.  
 
The value for offensive players is at an all time high right now.  We dont have another Mike Trout or Kole Calhoun in the farm system.  The only way this team will get better is by signing offense, or making a miraculous trade for a bat or two.  Getting some more offense will also take a ton of pressure off of the pitching staff, and will lead to guys staying healthier plus the bullpen will be much more effective.  

Rangers. I understand why people hate them, but nothing would be worse than the Dodgers winning. If the Rangers win, wel be trolled by their fans on here. If the Dogs win, youll be trolled by every Dodger fan in So Cal, every day, not to mention, everyone will bandwagon the Dodgers.

Oh please.  You should be thankful we even have a chance at the one game playoff.  The AL has been so bad this year, we have no business even having a chance to make the playoffs.  
 
Both World Series teams last year were wild card teams.  The Yankees just lost Teix for the season, we can beat them.  Its probably the only chance we have at making a deep run, if we somehow win that game we probably get some confidence going into a playoff series.  
 
I wouldnt mind making the Wild Card game as the 2nd wild card.  If Texas doesnt win this upcoming series with the Astros, we have a real shot at it.  But we need to take out the Twins too.  The results of this week will decide if we have a chance or not.  

Final blow? We still get Texas for 4, Houston for 3, and Minnesota for 4. At least hold off on this thread for one more week.

Were still only 3 back of Texas. If we can make up 2 games this week while they play the Astros, we could win the wild card by taking 3 out of 4 to end the season.
