Retire....   I think he's doing everything he can to fight off father time -- but he's been successful and he knows what it takes for him to be successful, I'm sure nobody is more well aware of what he can and cannot do than Jered Weaver.  
I can't imagine he is enjoying who he is these days...

Lol, this type of thinking never ceases to amaze me. For the last 3-4 seasons we have been crying about obtaining a legit lead off hitter. Now we have one, and you want to trade him?

Here is some food for thought, Black was a crappy major league manager. He has no GM experience so he would probably fail horribly at that as well.
Eppler has a total of 7 months working to improve a team left in shambles from the 25 man roster all the way do to rookie ball. His chair is far from comfortable right now but he is the man in charge of turning this around and it is mediocre thinking that it would be time for a change of a GM or manager right now.

For the record...
This is not a thread to praise Dipoto, but a reminder that prospects do not always work out. Our entire fanbase should know this full well, but if you read the reactions in that Huston Street trade thread, you'd think we traded 4 Mike Trout's. 
It still gets me bent thinking we didn't want to cough up Brandon Wood for Miguel Cabrera in addition to Kendrick, Santana and Mathis. 

Shoe's issues were purely mechanical.  His sinker is a plus plus pitch when he's right.  Obviously.  It makes sense that a minor mechanical adjustment could make all the difference.  He was flying open and it not only elevated his pitches but took away the movement that he needs to be successful. 
It's a really good sign that he could turn things around that quickly.  To me, it means that even if he falls off a bit, he can get it back.  Another reason is that Shoe seems like a really good guy and I''d like to see him succeed

As I have said to many people on here, I cannot take seriously, and will no longer continue to read or follow any sports writer who suggests or proposes that the Angels trade Trout. It isn't going to happen. I have removed those who continue to persist in this nonsense from my Twitter feeds.

Honestly, because of the 90's I have perspective. Also the 90's were different.  I didn't have a community like this to read and try to contribute to.  I truly had zero idea before message boards that people's favorite team made them miserable and that some people had no faith so early in a season.  Also in the 90's 50 games were televised a year.  Maybe it's more of familiarity breeds contempt.

Every other teams fanbase wants Mike Trout on their roster so the poll is retarded.

you don't trade anyone who is productive with 4-5 years of club control if you have any intention of winning during that time.  
you don't trade starting position players 30 games into the season.  
you don't trade Mike Trout.  

I say lower your expectations, watch the games, enjoy the games, because it's still baseball and that is far superior to any other sport.

Sure, the Angels could possibly get quite a bit in return. But who here is confident that this team wouldn't eff that up too.

Anything that means Salas will pitch in more crucial situations is very very bad.

I'm interested in seeing what you consider a "once in a generation" player if you have doubts about Trout being one.

I have no idea when we will be good again, but I've waited my entire life to have a generational hall of fame player to come up from our minors.
