I'm sorry but no, im not with this plan.   
We can make a couple 2-3 year deals to make the team be right there for the next 2-3 years and not have to wait for anything and simply have the kids take over as those deals run their course.
You said it yourself, we have Mike freaking Trout.  WE have 4 of the top 100 players offensively per the other thread.  We are not small market, we can spend.  There is literally zero reason this has to be the way. 
We can absolutely have it both ways, we do not have to wait for anything.
If this is the plan, it may cost us Trout, noone know what will happen but his comments suggest he isnt wasting his prime on a rebuild.   Simmons will be gone perhaps as well by then.  Upton maybe in his last year.  
I'm not asking for Machado/Harper, it doesn't have to be that nuts, the names I want could be had for less than either one of them combined.
I am 100% not on board with the patience plan and frankly cannot understand why anyone would be. 

Bryce Harper. Players of his caliber don’t become free agents all that often. Why I think this works? For starters, that makes Calhoun that 1Bman that can play when Pujols gets time off because we all know he’s going to play. Kole can also play all three outfield spots. Signing Harper makes some of the high end outfield prospects we have available to trade for high end pitching. From a business standpoint, it puts the Angels back on the map. Along with Trout, they make for a must see duo.  (The past couple of years have not been good with the success of the team up north). A 3, 4 and 5 of Trout, Harper and Ohtani is probably the best combo out there.

I don’t get why people are so down on Cozart, you guys realize he was arguably the best hitter they had at the beginning of the season. 

They are spoiled, i call it Trout syndrome, anyone who doesnt play at that level, sucks.   anyone who slumps or doesnt put up the same stats month to month, is unreliable and streaky.  

If you don’t score you don’t win. Pitching wins games is way overrated.

Yea, except in the slightest of margins pitching outperformed hitting statistically.  Hitting had an OPS+ of 100 and pitching had an ERA+ of 101.  So moron is probably a little strong of a word considering it is a toss up.  

Next season, when Scioscia's gone.
