So prior to the Oscars I was watching the USMNT beat Panama to all but secure their spot in the World Cup.

Just before we left on vacation our Flat Lab Lylah started limping. It has happened before, she hops up the embankment in the back and lands wrong coming off it or gets a burr in her paw. We checked her paw, ankle, knee joint and she never flinched or whimpered but still limped. Our son was house sitting so we told him to watch her and take her to the Vet if she doesn't get better.
We left Saturday morning and on Tuesday we got a call that ruined part of our trip. X-ray scans shows she has Osteosarcoma, bone cancer. Dogs can't tell you when they are not feeling well and try and hide it from you. The cancer is advanced and I am taking her to a specialist on Wednesday to talk options but it looks like amputation all the way to the hip is the recommended course of action along with possibly chemo.

I should vacation there. If I wasn't executed I'd come back super ripped.

I don't completely disagree with you here, but I think your ultimate diagnosis is wrong. This "third group" is politically homeless because they have been forced to choose between the insanity of the left wing SJW's and socialists, and the right wing, Jan 6 cultists and racists. I consider myself a conservative but there is no conservative party in America. The Democratic party has lost it's ideological way as well, as it's been 'forced' to take in political refugees from the right.
People like TDawg and myself can agree with each other despite having different politics simply because neither of us are morons. When the political climate gets this bad, simply not being stupid can become a political coalition. Still, the current balance is unsustainable but it probably won't last long as the right wing base is old, white, economically declining and on it's way out.  

The left wing nutters are a problem, and they contribute to people like Trump making statements like he did. This is the problem with our discourse today, simple minded people like Kotchman feel that they need to choose between ‘the world is ending’ and ‘everything is fine.’ Neither one of those positions is even remotely defensible.
