Just about everything went right for us last season? Iwakuma missed all of April. Paxton missed 4 months. Taijuan Walker only made 6 starts. Our DH position was absolutely abysmal and there is no way Cruz can do as poorly as that. Smoak started a significant amount of games for us. Brad Miller sucked when he was supposed to be much better. Michael Saunders lost considerable time. Logan Morrison missed a significant amount of time. Obtained Kendrys midseason and he basically was worthless. We had to use James Jones and Stefen Romero in our outfield often. To be honest I don't know how the Mariners won as many games as they did with the shit they ran out there .... our bullpen was AMAZING. Felix was amazing. Iwakuma was good until the end of the season. Projections mean diddly to me as well ... but this M's team is a better team than what was out there last year. I just want to watch some ****ing baseball!

AL West is going to be crazy. Not that I expect the Astros to come in the Top 3 ... but they won't make it easy on anyone I don't believe.

Why are the Padres doing all this? I am so confused. They were a sub .500 team. That is a lot of ground to make up ... and they massively hemorrhaged their future it seems. Might be a fun team to watch though. Guess we'll be getting Seth Smith to platoon with Ruggiano in RF then.

Seattle Mariners president stated they aren't selling out for 2015 ... so unless the Braves settled on people other than Walker or Paxton ... it isn't going to be us.

It isn't like they traded Walker for him ... a no name reliever who hasn't gotten past AA is all. Who knows if we're done or not ... it's December.

M's have really sour'ed on Taijuan it seems. Especially after he weirdly asked to be excused from the AFL this year .... and his shoulder problems .... I would not mind one bit if we traded Taijuan and got Myers .... much better than getting Upton for Walker. Latest rumor is that Seattle isn't the 3rd team though.

Yeah. Desmond and Zimm for Walker and Miller would have been the most boneheaded move Jack Z would have ever made. Hell. Brad Miller could turn into Desmond ... why do you think the Nats wanted him? Look at both of their full seasons in the MLB and their minor league numbers ...

What other good free agent bats are left? As was stated on the first page ... signing Lester allows us to trade Iwakuma for Cespedes ... or (I hope not) Walker for Upton. Dunno what can happen, but signings can open new windows.

It could be ... Lester being a local boy and all (Tacoma WA). But there has really been no mention of Lester by any M's sources .... then again, that would defeat the purpose of being labeled a "mystery team".

I would love it. He took us off his no-trade clause. Must mean he is open to coming here now after seeing last season / Cano signing. That and he probably wouldn't cost Walker now since it's only one year of him ... trade Michael Saunders and a B tier pitching prospect like Tyler Pike or something. Hopefully we'd extend him also. Trade for Upton, Sign Brandon McCarthy or bring back Chris Young, Sign Cruz to primarily DH .... I'd be fine with that offseason.
