Purse swinging aside this thread tells me the fans are gaining confidence in the team. Here's hoping that continues with the Astros coming to town tonight.
How many times do we have to say it's a man bag!

Ah yeah.....and let's not forget the Roswell incident.

Just saw this thread.
I remember watching the Hearns fight live. That first round was epic. The shots Hagler took would have knocked out most middleweights, but not Hagler. He took them in stride and continued to charge in. At the end of that round, Hearns was already tired and hurt.
The 80's had such a great list of fighters including the gentlemen knock out artist Alexis Arguello (my favorite). I miss those fighters.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether a team broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with our female party guests - they did. [winks at Mickey Callaway] But you can't hold a whole major league baseball team responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame all major league baseball executives? And if all major league baseball executives are guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our workplaces in general? I put it to you, - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but I for one am not going to stand here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!
Yeah, but this isn't over. It isn't over until we say it's over. Was it over when Dipoto bombed our Minor League System? No, it ain't over now.

I hear you Failos. If it weren't for the Angels, I wouldn't watch baseball or be interested in it at all.
I may watch the World Series, but only if a team I didn't like was in it and I want to see them lose. Maybe.

Jon Jay...
At various times, he has been nicknamed "The Federalist", "The Founding Father", and "The Chief Justice" in honor of the U.S. Founding Father John Jay and his contributions to The Federalist Papers.Shortly into the 2016 season, NBC 7 San Diego lead sports reporter Derek Togerson popularized "The Federalist", which quickly became popular with Padres fans. Razzball.com originally started calling him The Federalist back in 2011.[29] Jay choose "305-J" as his nickname for the Players Weekend during the 2017 season with the Cubs
Just don't call him Johnson.
