  1. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/11/pitching-notes-dodgers-giants-mujica-ayala-williams.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook One other arm that could enter the market is Angels righty Jerome Williams. Soon to turn 32, Williams' agent Larry O'Brien tells Cotillo (Twitter link) that he is rooting against a tender from the Halos since "there are many teams he could effectively start for." Two things: The Angels inability to sign Vargas after not offering him a QO, and the quote above where he wants to start. These things lead me to believe, if the Halos don't tender him, he will not be an Angels next year.
  2. Ages should be attached to these hours: 49 years old. 6-7 hours/night during the workweek (plus a 30+ minute nap everyday including weekends), 10-11 on the weekend.
  3. All monies should now be converted into Blantons. Pujols will only make 3.125 Blantons next year. Doesn't sound as bad.
  4. Pools don't get filled until the 2nd week of March.
  5. Can't see Trout signing a 12 year deal. I think he would like to sign a 2nd contract near age 30, keeping FA option open when he is still in his prime. 8 years 200 million, 12 years 300 million. after 60-70 million what does another 40-50 million even matter. How much can one even spend in one lifetime. Once he gets set for life with the 1st contract I would think he would like to keep his options open to play for rings. Money first, rings second.
  6. Are they leading us to think that Tara will off herself? Hope she does, don't think it will happen though. Jax's deal with Pounder will probably fall apart next episode and Pounder will, again, offer up to Tara.
  7. Set up to deal with it, but still put a hitter up there that can't hit. I wouldn't say the NL has an advantage as much as the AL has a disadvantage. Just as Farrell (AL) didn't make the proper double switch and let his pitcher hit in the 9th, I'd say AL disadvantage, take that as a NL adv. if you want.
  8. I looked up on BR and noticed what looked like league minimum salary for his pre-arb years. Maybe he is pissed and gonna test the FA market, a/la Trout?
  9. Exactly this. I SMH at most/all of his waiver pickups, plus I can't believe he actually had to give up something to get Cowgill.
  10. ****ed Over Rebuilt Dodge ****ed (First) On Race Day Flip Over, Read Directions
  11. Did they lose 2 picks when they signed Wilson and Pujols?
  12. I could see 17-16, because Bluto went through a stretch where he had, like, 7 of 8 quality starts but didn't get the win. But when I saw your research, I was astonished.
  13. I was on an overnight field trip on the boats in Dana Point when the "captain" of the ship told us SF was up 5-1. Later I heard the cheers from across the bay at the local yacht club and had to rush off the boat, out to my truck to hear what was going on. So, basically I missed the greatest game in our team's history. My son, called his grandpa crying when they were down 5-1. The game 7 wasn't as as exciting to watch knowing I missed that game.
  14. I believe it was Kenny Lofton that hit the last out to Erstad. I remember watching the pitch (Lofton was the go ahead run) and seeing it lift off the bat and thinking OHNO! Drank a whole bottle of champagne and went to work a bit groggy the next day.
  15. No way JW is not on this team next year. Excellent long reliever, 6th starter. His last ARB. is 2014. Definitely worth 4/5 million next year,
  16. Getting to .500? With the awful way this team has played for most of the year, that would seem to be frustrating. All those wasted losses in April and May (I know they don't count as much as the ones later in the season). Fire Scioscia, hire someone to get the team ready DURING ST, not April and May. This is the 4th year out of the last 5 with less than stellar beginnings to the season: April 2009: 9-12 April 2010: 12-12 April 2011: 15-12 April 2012: 8-15 April 2013: 9-17
  17. To think someday we could have 20/25 million a year at each IF and OF position...
  18. Hamilton Check out his recent rate stats. According to BR: Last 28 days: 333/408/506. Last 14 days: 344/447/438.
  19. Maybe, but if they throw in Enright and Blanton, I'd have to vote no.
