  1. You could really easily do this research yourself. Google your question and see what happens. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=What+is+the+reason+for+Josh+Hamilton%27s+poor+2013+season%3F
  2. Getting a high draft pick, yeah that's great. 2014 WS here we come.
  3. Pretty much this is the reason. Football draft picks make an immediate impact. BB prospects take years and may never pan out (Brandon Wood says hello).
  4. Look for JDP to make a trade for him, for some organizational depth-perhaps for some international slot money...
  5. Bourjos not a good ML? 2011: 5.1 WAR 2013: 40 games .333/.392/.457 At the very least you could say he hasn't proven himself to be a star player, but so far I'd have say he is at least a "good" ML
  6. He also almost traded for Marmol, willing to eat a few million dollars also. That being said, I'd like to see what he could do on his own, without Arte going "over his head" to sign big splashes, and hiring his own manager.
  7. Off the top of my head: 1. Not pinch running for Morales on 8-1-12 in Texas 2. Using relief pitchers in "roles" instead of situations (it seems he may be learning on this one) 3. Batting Aybar leadoff 4. Bourjos hip "injury" keeping him out of the batting lineup (really, WTF was that all about?) 5. Batting underperforming veterans in the top part of the llineup (I know it would be tough to put Pujols down in the lineup, but the manager's job is to put the best lineup out there regardless of paycheck) 6. Not batting the game's best leadoff hitter in the leadoff position (I love P-Bo at the top this year, but he's not there, it should be Trout)
  8. Do the Yankees need OF help? Schuck and ? for Hughes. Maybe we get to try him out befor a possible FA signing in the winter and get some IP's since we, apparently only have 2.5 starting pitchers as of now.
  9. Godwin's Law, with a Scioscia twist? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law
  10. I saw a Jepsen jersey in the crowd. Seriously, who but a family relative wears a Jepsen jersey?
  11. Agree with Mitch Williams (arrogant), McCarver (Diarrhea of the mouth) and Billy Ripken (Also arrogant and will not consider anyone else's opinion).
  12. Haven't been able to watch much of the season so far, but what I have noticed is Trout not getting on base to lead off the game. How many times during a typical 2 game span (say 10 at bats) does the leadoff hitter actually leadoff, 3 times, 4 times. I like the idea of Trout batting other than leadoff. Hamilton or Trout and then Pull Holes (pretty tough to get through that without a run or two being scored). Wish we still had Morales, but... SSS, I know.
  13. Understand where you are coming from, but a lot of the ST losses came late in the game when guys who will never be major players in the majors blew the game. That being said, the ST ERA of most of the guys we are counting on are pretty high. In ST 2010, after a tremendous season in 2009, they pretty much sh*t the bed also, but last year in ST they were exceptional. So I guess, we will see.
  14. As the pitching now stands, no way the Angels sniff the WS. Be interesting to see what Jedi can do about that prior to the trading deadline.
  15. How about radio. Is there a feed from KLAA to listen to the game?
  16. After the 15th game. We are due for a hot April. 15-5 start gets it done.
