Tdawg is right. People do need to lower expecations. Remember Conger, mediocre back up catcher who can't throw runners out, was traded for a major league ready starter and a major league ready catching prospect.
Yes Revere sucks, Howard sucks, and Ethier sucks. However unless we are ready to trade three or four prospects for a bona-fide impact player, those are the type of guys we can get. Aging high priced vets won't costs us much. And I would rather gamble on Howard (if philly eats a major portion of Salary) than to mortgage our future on a rental.

The problem is, Ethier still doesn't hit LHP. He's a good enough defender and a great teammate, but right now he's a platoon player in a hot streak.

How about Van Slyke (once Puig, Crawford get back) for DH, Revere for LF and leadoff hitter.

Green was in exile before Hamilghazi.

That's the only thing I can think if, he must have pissed in someone's Cheerios. He's done EVERYTHING expected of someone to be in the majors. He's hitting in AAA, he's switched positions, he plays positions from which the Angels are getting little or no production from (LF, DH, 2B) he's sat the bench and hasn't complained to the media once.
How the Angels have planted him in AAA is really unfair to the team and him. So the only conclusion I can think if is that he pissed someone off along the way. I wouldn't say he 'd save the offense but he can certainly hit .290 with lots of doubles if given a consistent shot.

Green has played 1B, LF and he can play 2B, SS and 3B if needed. What the heck is Cron, a 1B/DH only still doing up here? 
 
Grant Green is hitting .346 and has been a doubles and triples machine lately in AAA. I don't understand what the hold up is. 

21-19 is pretty damn impressive with this group. We should expect Joyce, Freese, Albert and Iannetta to get better. All in all, we should be pretty happy about the 2015 season thus far

Saying Cron is struggling is like saying King Kong was kinda big for an ape. But yeah, Howard has warning flags. The Phillies are obviously gonna try to sell as high as they can get.

I'm sure he'll blame Arte, his wife and the fans in Anaheim for his failures here when he rakes for the Rangers.

Call me crazy but I would like us to acquire Revere and Howard. Howard is a lot like Hamiltons situation without the drugs. Phillies will pay the majority of his contract and it will be a low risk move for the Angels that could end up working out well. If it doesn't than DFA him.

The A's would want a package centered around players they could trade in three years.
